I’ve been coming here for a while and had mixed experiences. Some wonderful & others not so pleasant. I was ecstatic to go here as they appeared friendly & helpful. BUT some, not all have become personal & can be intimidated by others who practice the same services they offer. I would never try to steal their business as I have my own & I’m in my own lane. I would think this community of people would embrace the gifts of everyone who shop at their store and not focus on putting others down who doesn’t work directly for them. But this is just another typical place who’s been around for many years and scared to lose business for their own personal selfish reasons. I’ve had their services and buy their products. I’ve shopped at several metaphysical stores around the country and have never been insulted until coming here. At other similar stores I’ve met amazing kindred spirits as it isn’t easy connecting with people on this journey. I’ve exchanged numbers with customers in stores without ever feeling weird until here. My last visit, I was looked at with evil eyes for speaking with someone about the gifts we share. They even went as far to listen to our conversation while we were outside of the store. When this customer was ready for their appointment, Jeff had the audacity to try to wait for this customer to just end our conversation on his terms as if we were children. As a black woman I felt extremely uncomfortable & will never go back. This was definitely an experience I’ll never forget. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this sort of behavior from Jeff. In past visits I’ve dealt with them trying to force the most expensive items on me without my consent & them talking down on services that wasn’t performed directly by them as if they are the only ones capable of giving the service. The way they speak down on others is really childish. Yes, they have lost a customer & the referrals I’ve sent their way. Its sad, but apparently my worth is a threat to them. Thank you for being helpful on your own terms. Thank you for being selfish with your community when you’re already abundant in the field. Thank you for showing your true colors on a...
Read moreLet me start by saying this store is incredible! The store changed owners in October 2019 and they have turned it into a warm, fun and welcoming place. Don’t be deceived, the store looks small from the street but when you walked in you’ll be shocked by how big it is and how many things they carry! Every time I come in, I feel like I’m entering a new store. They have all the usual things like stones, crystals, books, candles, incense, jewelry and more. They also have unique items I haven’t seen in other shops. Their prices are in line with others, but what makes them stand out is the rotating monthly discounts they offer. Each month they spotlight a different product category which can save you a lot of money. They stock statues covering different pantheons as well as novelty statues, candle holders and incense burners. They have the largest selection of herbs and stones I’ve seen anywhere. I was looking for an obscure herb and no one in the area had it. The staff here told me they do special orders and in two weeks I had what I needed! Staff at this store are happy and helpful too. I never feel like I’m a bother when I ask questions. If they don’t know the answer they’re honest and tell me, then help me research the answer. I have had readings (Laura Lee & Lydia) and healing sessions (Terri) and have loved each one. I’ve also taken a couple of classes with various instructors (Rose Dragon, Lydia, Laura Lee) and always walk away with a new or greater understanding of the material covered. My favorite are their make-and-take classes! Lydia’s rituals are always beautiful and authentic. They also have an impressive website too that offers almost everything in the store. This is truly a hidden gem on the south side. If you haven’t been here yet you need to stop by, because their selection is ridiculous and the energy is positive. I feel very fortunate to have such a great place and can’t wait to see what I find there...
Read moreLet me start this review by saying how you can tell immediately when someone in the holistic/metaphysical world is legit or just in it for the money and to scam. It’s sad when you get that feeling from an entire business and each of their employees working there. I have tried to love this store, I’ve been coming here for years on and off due to how the staff treats and speaks to me. The male owner is a creep and looks at young girls in the store way too long, the other two owners, are rude and condescending. I dread going in when I see the one working, stares me down while I try on bracelets and feel out which crystal is matching my energy as if I’m going to steal something — mind you, every time I’m here I spend a great deal of money inside the store and at the weekend market. The same owner is argumentative and refuses to be wrong. This shop also sells crystals that are dyed and claims they are real and yet still charge upwards of $10. Lol. Several of their readers are inexperienced and have no idea what they are talking about. The short female reader spent more of the reading talking about herself than what I was there for. None of the employees working there seem to have a clue what they’re talking about, even something as simple as dreams and what herb is for what etc. I strongly suggest going to any other metaphysical shop in the area, and there are tons. Shop a REAL metaphysical store where you walk in and don’t feel like you’re being judged or having a huge dark cloud hanging over the...
