I just wanted to make management aware that their employee is discriminating in how she provides customer service based on political affiliation. This was the smaller lady with the short brown karen haircut who is at the "pickup/send mail window". What she did was almost so unbelievable that I just walked out furious. I wanted to post here before reporting this to corporate. Anyways, sometimes I will wear a pro-Republican hat, it says nothing offensive, just a "pro-America" ballcap. Even though I'm not a massive right winger, sometimes I wear it and other items just to see if certain types of people will treat me differently. Today happened to be a day I decided to wear it. So, today I went to the pickup/mail out counter in this store to ask if I could be pointed in the right direction for an item that I knew existed in the store. What the young lady did next when I asked her was absurd. Right in front of my face, she literally PRETENDED to press the button on her headphone(I could clearly see she didn't even press the button), without even pressing it, then within about 1 second she told me they didn't even have the item. Now, this normally might be a slick way to avoid helping a customer while pretending to help, but the way she did it immediately exposed her lie. A. I saw the button was not even fully pressed, and B. even if she HAD pressed it, there is ZERO chance that the person on the other end would have taken less than a second to look up r. So immediately upon her seeing me she judged me based on my attire, then provided worse customer service due to her personal bias. This alone should be a fireable offense, for what if she has other bias's against certain religions, races, etc and makes life hard on others just because? My second complaint that is unrelated to this is that you have another male employee who upon walking in, didn't even attempt to great me, and was literally just walking around doing nothing. He saw me and other customers struggling trying to fin d items and instead of so much as acknowledging us, he continued to walk around trying to look busy. Now, maybe I am just getting old(I'm 30), but from my experience in customer service, you ALWAYS greated your customer, and if they were looking for something you offered to help, and you CERTAINLY didn't lie with a snarky attitude, and pretend to help them when they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went just to get some copies made Tuesday the 19th 2024, because my color printer was down. The female clerk at the business desk promptly told me she was 3 days out just to make copies. I had some business card stock and she said the self-service copiers would not print business card stock. I felt like I had just went to a government office where everything they say is: "no I can't do that". Normally in the past I have gotten decent service with office Depot at this location. So this is possibly an anomaly. Who can wait 3 days just to get some copies made??? I told her that I couldn't wait that long. I really don't know any business that can, and took my business over to: "Pack and Ship, More Ink For Less" store on Chiefs Way Pensacola Florida. The gentleman there was very accommodating, and very professional with a: "Yes I Can" mindset. He immediately took care of my copy needs and I was in and out of there within 15 minutes and that's with him helping another customer in that time frame, and the print job turned out amazingly beautiful, and the price was way below what I expected. So save yourself some time, skip all of the "blah blah blah no I can't help you" response at office Depot on Fairfield drive and just go to the "Pack and Ship" store, and get treated like an appreciated customer should be treated. I personally will not waste my time anymore at that Office Depot on Fairfield drive. In some ways I'm glad she gave me the no no no no treatment, because it made me search out other businesses and this led me to a great source for copying, shipping, printing needs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOffice Depot sets a high standard for businesses of this type. Working from a small home office, I have come to depend on my local Office Depot store for the majority of my home office needs. Their staff are very helpful and unfailingly pleasant. I am always amazed at the variety of furniture, equipment and supplies that are stocked. This was demonstrated most recently when my commercial-grade multi-function copier/scanner/printer began to have serious problems. I had purchased this machine three years ago because, as an engineer, I needed to print, copy, and scan 11x17 prints. When I decided to replace the machine, my wife noticed, in a local ad, that Office Depot offered the Epson Workforce WF-7620 as an in-stock item. What my wife noticed was that the Epson also handles 11x17 prints. My local store had one in stock, and I purchased the machine. The setup was amazingly straightforward and fast. I was able to get the machine to communicate with two computers, one running Windows XP, and the other running Windows 8.1. The Win XP computer was connected via USB, while the Win 8.1 computer was set up through the wireless system. All functions exceeded my expectations. Where my current machine is a monochrome laser printer and copier, the Epson is an inkjet color machine which provides beautiful, professional prints. The best part is that, while my original commercial-grade multi-function machine cost over $3,000 in 2013, this machine cost $200.00. Office Depot has certainly helped my...
