Gala Foods Supermarket — Local services in Bridgeport

I only go there for the deli. I like ordering sandwiches with lettuce and tomatoes. When I do, the tomatoes are so thin they're almost invisible and they put so very little lettuce on you would think they were on a budget with YOUR sandwich. So now when I go, I don't order the sandwich with the lettuce and tomatoes, I do that myself at home. The last time I went there,(last night), the cashier pressed the wrong button for payment and blamed me for it. She never asked how I was paying because she was in a conversation with another customer she knew. Needless to say I won't be going back there anymore. I'd rather take the long walk to Stop & Shop. Though it will cost a little more, at least I'll get a decent sandwich and I won't have to finish...

I went gala supermarket this morning purchased some stuff, I used a card that I shouldn’t used so I told the cashier to cancel it so I could use another one. She called her supervisor, and said void. When supervisor came the cashier tried to explain to him what happened, I said I would like use different card, He looked at me and pressed the bottons and said you have to pay and turned his back on me like I was asking him a favor. I should have left everything and go to a different store but I was in hurry but I said to myself never again I will go back to that store. He has no customer service skills and was very rude. it’s better to go to stop and shop or elsewhere instead use...

Yesterday I purchased Jamaican pumpkin to make soup for today. I opened one and noticed some slim and black stuff around the seeds. I went to the store to exchange it. I spoke with both managers and was unable to make a return do to the fact I had no receipt. Who keeps receipts from grocery stores???? I said I just purchased this yesterday I shop in her all the time he said I know but we can't help you. Mind you the the expiration date is 3/2 & 2/28. Their company sticker still on them and one is unopened. I will no longer be spending my money at this establishment very disappointed with their customers service. Try to support community...
