Chaves Bakery — Restaurant in Bridgeport

I come to this Chaves location often however today will be my last day. The food is good but the customer service needs to be improved upon. Wait time is always expected when coming here but today was the worst. This morning around 8:20am one of the women who work behind the counter was SO EXTREMELY RUDE. I waited 20 minutes for the sandwiches I ordered and they still weren't done. There were only 4 people in the restaurant so I didn't understand why it was taking so long. At most I usually wait around 15 minutes. At this point Im running late for work so I call to the woman behind the counter that took my order. She looks my way and ignores me. I call her again, she walks past me to serve someone else and rolls her eyes at me. Now I'm getting agitated. My kids are with me so I didn't want to make a scene but she was deliberately being rude. I've never experienced such unwarranted rude behavior in my life. All I wanted to know was if my sandwiches were already started, and if they werent I wanted a refund so I can go to work. Unfortunately she turned me off from this location/establishment. She should be fired or suspended. You don't treat people that way. I WAS a regular. I WAS a loyal customer. I'd easily spend over $50 a week at this deli/bakery, sometimes more. I've recommended it to others. Now, they lost $200 a month and I will be telling everyone NOT to go. This may be the single worst place in Bridgeport to go for lunch. Nothing at all wrong with the food. The system they have for lunch orders is absent of any logic at all. Here are two examples; First, we call in an order 1.5 hours ahead of when we need it for our meeting. When I get there to pick up the order the staff says I have to wait in line that is filled with people placing orders for lunch. No separate place to pick up completed phone orders. This took over 20 mins. On another occasion I call in an order. They ask for my name and tell me the order will be ready in 10 mins. I show up 15 mins later. I give me name for the order and they have no clue as to what was on the order. Why exactly do they ask for my name when taking a multi- sandwich order? I waited for 20 mins before hey could get me the order! The sad part about it all is that other people waiting for orders were actually joking on how long and how unorganized the entire lunch order process is. A woman came in and ordered a buttered roll and actually said it is the only thing she can get from there for lunch without spending her entire lunch break waiting! I will never again place any kind of order for my company from Chaves Bakery on State St. They really should not advertise or encourage local businesses to use them for lunch orders until they can come up with some kind of system to...

You Motherf%*$er's!!! This is literally the 3rd time I find a bug in my families bread! I say family because I'm not buying it just for myself! I have a wife, 4 daughters, and two sons that i would have loved making a complete breakfast for but for the 3rd time, i trusted in Chaves Bakery! How in the world do you not inspect your product to the fullest detail to make sure nothing like this ever happens and to know that you also deal with the Bridgeport, CT Public School System as well, this will not go unheard or unresolved!
