Full unbiased review from a now-graduated student: I was a student in the Electrician Program for 6 months: April-October 2023. When I first took a tour of the campus, my guide (whom I wont share the name of because they were just doing their job) definitely put a lot of pressure on convincing me to join as soon as possible. Whether this was due to meeting a quota or something, I dont know. But I very much did feel like I was being sold the school, much like a door salesman trying to sell you a product. However, I did ultimately choose to attend because it was a lot more within my budget than going to a full college for 4 years, and trade students are sought after more now than ever, so It's not like the degree would be useless. I toured in June 2022, and against the advice of my tour advisor, I waited a year to work my at-the-time job and save up enough money to last me through the 6 months. Recently, there has been a large influx of students, so depending on your situation, it might be good to attend asap, as when there are big classes parking is scarce. Anyways, the teachers for the electrician program were probably the best people to learn from. They all had many years under their belt of field experience and were very, very knowledgeable. They were also very professional and took their jobs as both electricians and teachers very seriously, so you as a student shouldn't be attending just to joke around because you will quickly fall behind. Now, many other reviewers complain that they are disappointed that they didn't walk out with a job, but I believe they are forgetting the fact that this is first and foremost a school. What you are paying for is to learn the knowledge of whatever trade you are taking a course for. They have career services and multiple career days where partnered employers come and give students direct contact with possible future careers, but nothing is guaranteed!!! You yourself have to put in the effort to find a job, Pennco will just do thier best to help you. They can and will also help you down the road, as long as you are in good standing, they will always be able to help you find job opportunities. I personally wasn't lucky enough to find an employer before my final day, but many of my classmates (whom I would argue did better than me in grades and skill) did! So, walking out with a career on day one isn't impossible. All in all, the school is a great place to learn a trade; although I can only speak for electricians. I can say I proudly graduated from this school and learned much from my experience. 4/5 stars only because my initial tour put a lot of pressure on...
Read moreI came here for the Pharmacy Tech program at the Bristol location in 2018. It was a mistake. I left after 2 weeks. The class was like high school. Not only was it like high school, I was being bothered and pestered by ignorant kids in that class, and NOTHING was done against them, no warning, no consequence . I came to that school minding my own business , bothering nobody, but I was the one being bothered and pestered nonstop. They have a policy manual on page 8 that states they will take action over people like that but they didnt want to lose their money. I reported an incident in relation to me and the directors have been dodging my complaints. I just submit a signed complaint form with the Department of education. They are currently waiting for this school to respond. If there is no response, I am looking into talking to lawyers. This "school" is lacking all types of discipline. Why would I stay there in that environment,. I felt like it was the Babysitters Club in that class. It wasn't independent learning. Right after I filed my complaint in 2018, they switch directors of edu right away. Danielle Cattell was the director of edu at the bristol campus in 2018. she ran away to the NJ school fulltime in 2018 after I tried to expose her. They all shady and corrupt. If you bring up the topic again, they will simply say shes no longer there and none of them is no longer there. I didnt get any justice. The teacher Ms. Miller is also corrupt. Shes not even a doctor, shes a tech. You should all Be grateful I didnt call the cops that day. Three ignorant people kept harassing me and trying to start drama with me and They got away with it. For future students, If you have brains and want to get into the pharmacy field, I suggest you go to Temple University's pharmacy program because what I went through at this school was A JOKE! everything happens for a reason. I went to a real college after and I now make more money than a pharmacy tech. You dont need to go to school for it either. if you speak to a legit pharmacist, they will tell you that you are...
Read moreThis is the worst school ever. There are some good people working here but overall, the higher ups are terrible. They hire people worth out doing proper background checks or verifying their qualifications. Our first day, we were introduced to our first teacher Ms. Sue. She lasted about 3 months but during those three months she called out most of the days we were even in class. There were nights we were in class without a teacher, no one bothering to check on us, teach us or at least give an explanation or apology for the lack of professionalism. When she was in class, she taught NOTHING. We were given a packet, told which chapters to find the answers in and then turned it in to be graded. We finished the rest of the first term trying to catch up on things we were never taught. We then started our second term with a new teacher that again, lasted 2/3 months and then left. We are now in our last week and we are playing catch up on things we should’ve been taught all the way from term one up until now. More than midway through the course, people were fired and new ones were hired and that came with new rules. They care more about making money than quality teaching. The poor first term that came after us has a teacher that doesn’t even allow them to speak all night throughout class time, which tells just how well she teaches. I would NEVER EVER recommend this school to the person I hated the most. This place is a nightmare and is only good to age you another 5 years while u study here....
