This is the worst jewlery store that I have ever dealt with! My mothers fiancé bought her an emerald cut diamond ring and unfortunately he passed away.. So my mom brought it back to them since that is where he purchased this diamond. The lady took a look at the diamond and she had another lady out back take a look as well and they came out and stated they will give her $2,000.00!! My mothers fiancé paid $5500.00 8 years ago for this! So obviously my mom was shocked when the associate gave her that figure!! We left the store with the diamond as my mom wouldn't take only $2,000.00! We understand that it would depreciate a little bit but not that much!! So my mom went back in 2 weeks later and spoke to the owner to get an explanation as to why they were only offering to give her $2,000.00. The owner couldn't even look my Mom in the eye.. He was looking everywhere else.. Making up excuses telling her she should just keep the ring since he passed away or maybe give it to her daughter as an heirloom! My mom explained she didn't want the ring as it saddens her and she would just like the money instead. The owner said he has no use for that ring! He said he barely sells emerald cut so it serves no purpose there!! He called over the associate that my mom spoke to 2 weeks prior just to confirm that conversation happened. And then told my mom if she comes back with all the original paper work that he will give her $2,000.00. But if no paperwork then he wouldn't buy it back!! He also threw in that the guy who appraised her ring for $2,000.00 is away and then he repeated that he was away and is leaving soon indefinitely! So he basically just said that to my mom just to get her out of there!!

How can a business SELL that style ring and when it is brought back make up excuses and find reasons NOT to buy it back!!! Not to mention can't even look a customer in the eye!! This is just 1 of my horrible experiences with Romms!! I know plenty of other people that have bad experiences as well!! I would NEVER refer anyone to this rip off business and I am SHOCKED they have been in business...

I highly recommend this Jewelry store! I have come to Romm for many years for purchases and they are always friendly, professional and pleasant but this time they went above and beyond what I would expect from any other Jewelers. After coming in to have my mothers engagement ring cleaned days before my daughters wedding for her to wear down the aisle, Brittany asked if I would like her to also clean my own engagement and wedding band. She noticed that the prongs were damaged on my engagement ring and she recommended I not take a chance on wearing it. Fixing it was out of the question since they send out for repairs it would not be back before we had to leave for the venue in Maine. Since I told her I have made many repairs to that setting. She helped me pick out a beautiful new setting at a reasonable price but I still would not have it back to wear at my daughters wedding. Well before I knew it someone was on the phone arranging things to get it as soon as possible. I got a call from Brittany that same afternoon before they closed and said not only was it back and ready but also sized properly as well! Having a beautiful new setting with my diamond to wear as Mother of the Bride made me so happy. Brittany and the others at Romm will stop at nothing to please...
