I visited this store for the first time yesterday. I was impressed with how clean and uncluttered it is. I guess I let my guard down because I found a pretty teapot and took it up to the register. It was almost $30, but I really liked it, and immediately thought it would make a nice gift for a friend, so I paid for it. It wasnāt until I got it home, after Iād cleaned it, that I examined it again under good light. I saw a small chip on the top of the body, in the slot where the lid sits.
I immediately called the store to tell them Iād be bringing it back. But I was put through to the manager. I explained the teapot should have been labeled āas isā to alert me to the chip. Any reputable store would do that. She said I canāt return it.
If thatās their policy, they should have a big sign at the register proclaiming that. She repeated they donāt accept returns, so Iām out almost $30 for a teapot that I would never give anyone.
Buyer beware! Look for a store that marks...
