⚠️ METAL SHAVINGS IN FOOD!! ⚠️ Tonight I ordered beef with garlic sauce and halfway through I bit into a metal shaving....I called the restaurant to let them know to see if one of their machines possibly did it ...the girl who answered acted like it was not a big deal and didn't seemed shocked, I offered to send a picture so they could identify it and she said "we don't need proof" so I asked her if it has happened before ...she said yes about a year ago...it's from their wok....this doesn't look like it's from a wok.... I asked to talk to the manager to make sure whatever is leaving this is not used anymore, she told me the manager left and she didn't know when she would be back again.. I will call back until I get a manager to talk to me. Their food is honestly really good and never have had an issue with them .. it's one of my favorites and it's sad to me that this issue that could really hurt someone isn't being taken seriously...it didn't hurt me thank God but it's pretty strong metal and could do some damage to someone. She offered me 10 off my next order toward the end of the conversation... Not the reason I called so I declined. I won't order from them again just due to their lack of care for their customers health and I wouldn't recommend it any longer.

Black bean paste? I am not sure what it is and I am positive that I don’t want to know how it is made. My Chinese food safety rule is, if the meal doesn’t have General Tso’s name on it, proceed with caution. Versions of No 1 Kitchen’s “Triple Crown” meals looked delicious. I took the risk and went with the Hunan version, which has the spicy black bean sauce. The black bean sauce was rich, savory, spicy delicious. Not sweet. The meal was a big, full plate of food. A balanced mixture of fresh vegetables, loaded up with tender chicken, beef and shrimp. This was a great meal. Spicy black bean sauce, works for me. I think General Tso would have liked it. My wife went with the Lo Mein with Shrimp. She enjoyed the meal. She offered me a bite, but I passed on it. I don’t like spaghetti. We also shared a bowl of hot and sour soup. It was loaded with mushrooms, tofu, egg and vegetables in a tasty tangy spicy thick broth. Very good. This is a clean comfortable little restaurant with table service and drive through. The restaurant stayed surprisingly busy even after the lunch hour rush. I had dined at No 1 Kitchen several years ago. I was not impressed with the food enough to come back since. Recent reviews that I have seen, enticed me to give No 1 Kitchen another try.

I simply have to sing the praises of No. 1 Kitchen. Where do I start? A Broken Arrow Institution, I've been coming here since way back when I was in junior high, and I still gladly make the pilgrimage from Tulsa when I can. The quality of their food is leagues, orders of magnitude even, above the other takeaway places in Broken Arrow and Tulsa; it truly puts them to shame with how delicious No 1 Kitchen is. You can tell they actually cook with a wok from the noise coming from the kitchen and from the delightful "wokhei" flavour instilled in every bite. And for all this quality, you're paying only as much, if not a dollar or two less than the competition. The vibes of this place are spot on, the cosy, familiar atmosphere of every fondly remembered Chinese takeaway spot from your youth, no matter when or where you grew up. My recommendation? Get anything with their fried rice, and then order seconds. You know you want to.

The food is ok, it's a tad overpriced, but I wouldn't say it's horrible. What's bad is the customer service. My wife and I used to go quite a bit and we are both EXTREMELY allergic to Ginger, we have always ordered the same sushi and ALWAYS request that no Ginger be anywhere near the order. The first time they put Ginger on our sushi, I called when we got home and they were very helpful, they replaced the sushi order that had the Ginger on it and we moved on. A couple of days ago, after specifically requesting no Ginger on our Sushi and informing the worker that took our order that it was due to an extreme allergy, our sushi came with Ginger once again. No big deal I thought, their intercom system is extremely poor but I made sure the worker knew and confirmed that my request was for no Ginger before I paid. This time I called in once I got home and found Ginger and $30 worth of sushi we couldn't eat, they offered a refund of our money or a replacement order. Knowing that it rarely happens I requested a replacement order. My wife went back in today to get our replacement order and the Asian woman, possibly the owner, making the sushi was EXTREMELY RUDE. She accused us of lying and not asking for our sushi without Ginger, instead of acknowledging that it could have been due to their poor intercom system, or bad relay from the girl who took our order. She offered 10% off the order, instead of replacing the sushi we paid for and couldn't eat. We will not be going back, she eventually just caved in and replaced the order, but embarrassed my wife by arguing with her in front of other customers in the process. I told my wife to just get a refund but she is to passive to stand up for herself. Maybe next time I'll just take a bite and then lawyer up for not paying attention to customer requests. I would never order something that I'm allergic too, I'm always very careful when placing food orders and we are very laid back people so it really takes something over the top to make us angry. Save your money and go somewhere else. You can get good quality Sushi at a Sushi House for the same price as this place, with much better customer service. The only reason we always went was for the convenience of the drive through, which is obviously not worth the trouble of dealing with rude workers. I'll gladly pay a higher price at another Sushi place that is actually grateful for the customers it has. They lost our business for good as well as friends and family, I would not recommend this place to anybody if you value...

The dining area is being ran by teenagers that do not greet you and take a while to come just to take your drink order. I commented to the waitress about the wait and she did not acknowledge that I said anything, not even an apology. She just asked for our drink order. The food came out quick and hot but was served by kitchen staff. The waitress never came back to the table to check on us, fill our drinks or give us the bill. I could see both girls standing together behind the counter on their phones. When we went to the register to pay, we told her all this, she said “oh sorry” in a basic teenager tone and rang us up. I asked to speak to the manager and she continued to finish the transaction so I asked again for the manager. She finally came over and I told her of our concerns. She was very friendly but tried to make the excuse that they were very busy. I told her that both girls were standing there on their phones which she seem to be upset about. I’m not sure what happened after we left. I’ve been coming here for years and was pleased with the food and service but both have gone downhill within the last three times we’ve been there. I saw another review regarding breaded meat and I completely agree, it is basically all breading and barely any meat. The egg roll was good as were the cheese wontons. But with such terrible service it really overshadows any good dish they may have. We will NOT be...

My husband went through the drive through and ordered two meals. One of them was supposed to be chicken and broccoli but they gave him beef and broccoli. We didn’t realize it right away and by the time we did it was late and we don’t live close to the restaurant. My husband called the next day to tell them and they were very rude, asked if we ate the other dish, and told him there was nothing they could do because we didn’t call the night before (I’m not sure they were even still open by the time he got home). He reiterated that we were given the wrong food and the food we were given was not eaten. The person then yelled “Come get the food!” and slammed the phone down. To be frank, I’d rather have our money back. Except for the egg roll and wontons, the food we did receive was not very flavorful. Obviously we won’t be back.

Update: my husband did stop by and talked to an employee and explained the situation. She went back to talk to the owner or manager who came out and yelled at my husband asking him why he didn’t come when they spoke earlier. It sounded like they got his food ready after she hung up on him. He explained to her that he had been at work all day and had she not hung up on him she would have known that. He saw the younger employee was embarrassed because of the awkward situation so told the owner/manager(?) just to forget it...
