Captain's Hideaway Powersports Rentals — Local services in Broken Bow

You won’t regret renting from Captain’s Hideaway. They were very accommodating of our group of 8. Their knowledge of the trails made us very comfortable going out. We rented 2 UTV’s for the first day and had a great time seeing parts of the forest we hadn’t seen before. The kids loved experiencing the trails on the UTV’s and getting out at the creek to play. We had plenty of time to stop for pic/snack/creek breaks while out on the trails. We will do this again!

The second day we rented 2 Jeeps and headed out to the trails they had marked for us. This was recommended to us by the owners, and we’re so grateful they did! The Jeeps provided a completely different experience for all 8 of us as well as new trails and more of the forest we had never explored before. There are trails for every level of off-road experience you want. We had plenty of time to get out for pics, snack breaks and exploring on the trails. Our whole group loved the Jeeps too. We will do the Jeeps again for sure too.

The owners are very helpful and provide all the information you will need to succeed at jeeping around Broken Bow. Jeeps are well maintained, and they take them to the dealer at the first hint of a problem. Listen to what the owners tell you and you will have a great time. The trails are not complex and anyone with some common sense can jeep these trails. You will need to pick your lines in some areas to avoid sharp rocks, but we completed the entire trip without having to get out and spot. Most technical aspect will be deciding between four low and four high.

If you have read the one star rating someone else gave Captains Hideaway, you can ignore that one. We got the backstory on that incident and learned it was an operator error issue.

Not impressed with the service. It was difficult to not only get ahold of someone but the communication was just not there. Was quoted $400 for 4 hours to rent a UTV (over priced in my opinion) granted it being the weekend, I went ahead and did it anyway due to it being a special occasion. Not only wouldn’t they charge me the “$1000” deposit on my Visa card due to them not believing my “daily limit” but I ended up spending 15 minutes of my time on the phone with my bank to prove I was capable of making the deposit. After verifying that I was obviously capable of paying, I ended up being charged $2075 as the deposit. I got there at my appointment time (2:30) by the time I hooked up and got going it was 3:10, and they start the time right at the appointment time.
