Normally I have had a pleasant experience at this DMV which is a big deal to me personally considering I originally came from St. Louis where the DMVs are long and the people are rude. I had called the DMV because I needed my plates renewed and asked what all did I need to bring. I was told I needed to bring my personal property tax information. I mentioned that I did not since my car is being financed. I repeatedly got told I was wrong and the lady on the phone copped a hateful attitude with me about it. When I changed the word "finance" to "leased" her tune changed but still talked down on me even though this is my second year financing a car and I know that I do not need to bring personal property tax information since the car is NOT PAID OFF. Old review: If I could give minus stars I would! On Friday 8/3/18 Why? Because I show up at 4:45 the sign says it closes at 5:00 the open sign was still lit but doors were locked and person said "sorry we already closed". So if you are going to go in here even though sign says closes at 5:00 pm you had better hope they are busy or go in before 4:30 pm. I wish I could give them negative stars. I needed to get a driver's license replaced. The DMV website clearly says I can use a birth certificate or social security card as proof of identity. I went there with my social security card and the desk person decides that they only accept birth certificates. When I questioned her about it, her response was that she doesn't make the website, the state of Missouri does. I have a busy life. I don't have time for this kind of run around.
