Helm Street Inn — Restaurant in Brookfield

I wanted to like this place so bad, I have had so many friends tell me it's great. But as soon as we arrived it went downhill. Tables sticky, our presence seemed to bother our waitress, extremely slow (1 hour and 30 mins from order to food) but I was ready to overlook all these things because it's the balloon derby this weekend and it's way busy everywhere. But when the food came out everything just wasn't right. The hash browns were cold, we were missing everything from bacon to pancakes and more. Our family lobes this place. It reminds of us a place we used to visit from down home. Always great staff. Food is amazing even if you order to go or dine in. My favorite is the chicken livers!!! My brother and I ate lunch hear. He has eaten here before as his wife is from Brookfield but this was my frist time. Very good food they had a good menu and also daily specials.
