Read moreThis review is due to a single experience that we had shopping at this location today, and I felt like I needed to write it to warn any other parents who might be shopping at this location with their children. We took our kids in to see Santa today, and afterwards we needed to pick up a few items. While we were near the childrenâs section, an employee came up to us and our 2-1/2 year old daughter, and commented about the robots we were standing by. She asked our daughter if she liked the robots, and then said âLet me see if I can try and get you one.â My husband and I thought this was odd, but maybe they were doing some sort of giveaway drawing or something you had to sign up for, so we didnât say anything, and then our daughter didnât respond, so then the employee asked our daughter, âdo you like Frozen?â, which of course our daughter loves, and then the employee said, âdo you want a doll? Let me show you these over hereâ and proceeded to take us to a nearby Frozen doll display area. My husband and I looked at each other wondering if they were giving away free dolls or something? She then kneeled down next to our daughter, showing her the different Elsa and Anna dolls, asking which one she wanted. Mind you, these were not free dolls, nor were they cheap. My daughter chose one of the Anna dolls and the employee smiled and quickly walked away, leaving us with a daughter who on a normal day would have been extremely excited expecting that she now owned this doll and was going to be taking it home. Luckily for us, we had just visited Santa, and she was excited over the free Play-Doh she had received from him, and we were able to distract her with that and put the doll back on the shelf. We were so shocked and couldnât believe it had actually happened, as it all happened fairly quickly, and didnât catch the employeeâs name. Some parents may not be able to afford random expensive toys for their children while out running errands, and employees tricking kids into wanting something as if it were free and then walking away made me sick to my stomach. It is a screwed up thing to...
Read moreToday I entered the store, excited and hopeful of finding some great deals as I had seen specific items online. I even planned my trip accordingly for time efficiency . I should've turned and left as I walked towards the entrance and saw several shoppers leaving the store empty-handed. Now, I realize that with a sale of this type you're not going to find every single thing you want- it changes constantly, however, there were no inventory issues online, these items were available for at store pick up thus I felt there would be no question. This is during their highly promoted 80% off sale. Typically I look forward to seeing at least a few items that are discounted to add to my wardrobe. Today I had a specific need for an upcoming event. Full disclosure I do not shop in store frequently, and I do realize retail stores change their layout. However I almost feel today they change their layout in such a way to ensure shoppers could not find the deals. And I realize he's anality takes part in this, but it really felt kind of empty Clearance racks, were few and far between. And literally nothing I saw online was on the rack in the store. As I was shopping, doing my best to find something that was not bright green or bright yellow, or meant for a cruise, I witnessed excited shoppers entering the store with carts waiting to fill them with great bargains as had been promoted. I literally saw people scouring the store, trying to find anything that they wanted to buy that had been promoted digitally, through E blast, etc. I wanted to turn and say to them they're making it pretty difficult to find anything? What used to be women's was now girls, where I expected to see clearance dresses there were absolutely none I mean zero I don't know where They are hiding the sale items that they're showing on the website, but they definitely are not on the rack Do...
