Sendik's Towne Centre — Local services in Brookfield

After making a $200.00 Xmas candle purchase, Joe the manager at Nehring’s Sendiks at Towne Center refused to give me $6.00 worth of Xmas ribbon to complete the wrapping.

My go to Sendiks is in Whitefish Bay. I happened to be in Brookfield at Towne Center & stopped in the Sendiks there to buy a couple of large frasier fir candles ($200.00) for a Xmas gifts. The young woman at the gift & floral counter was very helpful but they didn’t have gift boxes so she called her associate who used Sendiks boxes without tops & wrapped them each tissue & covered in cellophane. Not exactly the best look but made worse when I asked them to tie the scrunched up cellophane with Xmas ribbon. Sure if I wanted to pay for it ($6.00.) Seriously? I just paid $200 for these candles & you’re going to charge me for ribbon? These women had to ask the store manager, Joe for permission & he said No. I asked to speak to him & when he arrived he was clearly angry, unfriendly & put out that I asked to speak with him & refused to give me $ 6.00 worth of ribbon. A customer next to me said this is outrageous & advised me to call corporate.

I went back to my Whitefish Bay store where I’ve been shopping for 25 yrs. & told Luke the store manager thinking this was one of their stores. He said no it was owned by the Nehring’s.
