No matter how far from Boston I move, Lavinia Borcau DS will never be “too far.” The service and expertise is quite frankly the best I have ever experienced. I‘ve done my fair share of scouting around Boston for quality skin care, but have decided to seek no further after the treatment I received here. After developing some unfortunate adult acne, I was on the prowl for a good aesthetician. After visiting less desirable locations and having my face scoured and excavated by an inexperienced technician, I knew what not to look for. I finally found Lavinia and my face was saved. I have been going to her for over a year now to perform facials and tame my wild eyebrows, and I would not dream of changing that. I have had facials from Lavinia, as well as other members of her staff. Their procedures and methods are the same across the board. I am also a huge fan of their “hard wax.” I noticed that my eyebrow waxes seem relatively painless. The wax adheres to the hair and not to the skin. I am one to get the occasional brazilian wax and I had only experienced hot, liquid wax in the past. I tend to think that I have a high tolerance for pain, but I wouldn’t mind it being slightly less painful. I now swear by the hard wax brazilian and cannot imagine getting one the old way. I have always felt well-received and pampered by all the employees. LBDS is basically my little haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. I got a facial here for the first time and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. Ira did a fantastic job. She took the time my skin needed without rushing through the process even if it meant going slightly over the time specified. I will certainly be returning again soon.
