I give it 2 stars because the pools are large enough to have enough space for everyone to enjoy without being on top of each other. Perhaps I went on a day that wasn't so busy so that was nice. The outside pool was a bit dirty but I guess that's normal they should clean it more often if they don't. But the customer service is just plain awful!! I am not from the area at all. I live about 40 minutes away. But my friend told me about it because I like checking out new areas for swimming and like looking at different places. I frequent this area for work a lot too. After work, I like to go swimming and since I'm in the area. I figured why not? But The lady at the registration was awfully rude. Not polite at all. She seemed angry. Also, I had sent them an email before about lessons there and the lady writing the email seemed to have an attitude as well!. Rude and unprofessional. I don't know who the manager is but they should keep a closer look at their staff! Some of these people shouldn't even be working if they can't be respectful!! The only reason they get a two star as I said is that the facility is okay but the people working there seriously need an attitude...

Didn’t enjoy my visit at Brooklyn rec. I took a 2 year old and a 4 year old to go to their open swim (1pm-5pm) Well when we first got there , I paid the $9 fee for not being a resident which is fine. Me and the girls walked through the this glass hallway where the sun was beaming down on us. When we walked in the locker rooms , I honestly didn’t want to put my bags in them. They were rusted and filthy. When we got to the pool . The shallow side was 4 ft, so the girls couldn’t stand in the water so I brought floatys. I was told I was unable to use them.. Fine... so we stayed along the steps and I noticed they have floatys. I asked the guard if we were able to use them so one of the girls can float while I carry the other one , he said no. So we continued to just stay on the steps for about and hour or so. The water was freezing so we decided to get out and get our towels. The girls asked to put their feet in the hot tub that was there , and we were told they were not allowed. This place needs a renovation and to be more kid friendly. Unless your paying them to get swim lessons for the kids, there no point of bringing them. I didn’t enjoy...

10yrs ago this place was great, 5stars surely. Now not so much. One problem after another. This year I signed my girls up for softball. Was told I would get a phonecall or email. I was fine with it. They play every year. When summer was just about starting and didn't hear anything I called and was told " games started last week but their team was cancelled due to not enough players". When I complained that they waited so long to get back to anyone there would be no time to get them into any other activities. The manager offered to refund my mom ney and place them in cheerleading at a discounted rate. So I agreed. When we showed up for the first class I was informed they cancelled the older kids class and placed them in the younger one. So here my 12 and 13 year old daughters are in a class with 3,4, and 5year olds. They felt so embarrassed I didn't take them back...
