Learn moreHave never been here before today. To me it still had the look of Taco Bell. Aside from that prices are decent. However, I was not impressed with the food.
The pancakes were okay. Nothing over the top. I ordered the special of potato pancakes and could not get over how much they tasted like egg. I ate it as I was hungry but it is not something I recommend unless you like eggs.
I did order a small salad and could not understand how I was served it as it was clear the lettuce was rusted. At first I thought it was a few just on the top but digging in, it was 75% of the salad. I chose to not eat it as I personally would not eat lettuce that is rusted even at home.
To finish off the meal. As we were taking our final bites I noticed a very strong perfume smell that was so strong it was making me a bit sick. I mentioned it to my son who then points out a guy was mopping behind us. Sure enough I turn around and he is mopping the floor. I understand cleaning but why mop the floor with customers inside with a very strong smelling chemical.
Overall, when my 8 year old walks out and says to me... "we learned our lesson to not eat here again", I know I am not wrong in thinking the same thing.
I give it 3 stars as service was quick, the prices are decent, and the portions are on the larger size. But the food lacked on a...
Read moreMy recent visit to Day Break was really disappointing. Our waitress came to our table only once, while we watched her (and a male staff member) refill coffee for other tables multiple times—ours was completely ignored.
I ordered a cheese omelet, and when I realized it was missing cheese, I waited for someone to check in, but no one ever did. I eventually had to get up and let them know myself. I was told it did have cheese (it clearly didn’t), and instead of correcting the order, they brought over two cold slices of cheese and dropped them off without a word—not even an apology. At that point, I didn’t even want to eat it.
My fiancé ordered bacon, which never came. When he mentioned it at checkout, they told him it had been put on my plate—again, without saying anything. What if he had an allergy? No apology or explanation.
To top it all off, the coffee tasted like water.
We won’t be coming back. Service and communication were...
Read moreMy husband and I went in for our first time and we were disappointed. My hash browns were dranched in grease that tasted bad. It was soggy in my mouth I couldn’t even eat it. My omelette was good though and I just ate it with the bread. My husband did not like his bacon, it tasted weird. It’s hard to mess up bacon. The coffee tasted like I was from the bottom of the pot...we just weren’t impressed. His eggs were good and the sausage was good. They painted the place really nice and they have nice plates and cups but they need to really improve their food if they want to survive in this neighborhood.the waitress did not ask us how the food was even though 95% of my hash browns were untouched. I should have spoken up but I kinda just let it go and we paid for the meal. She was very friendly and attentive otherwise but she just didn’t even bother to ask how...
