Food Lion — Local services in Brookneal

The staff at this store is very friendly and helpful, but cleanliness isn't their strongest point. I purchased an "in store made" turkey Swiss and lettuce sandwich from the deli this afternoon, and after taking a few bites was stunned to see that they hadn't even bothered to dust off the dirt from the lettuce - much less wash it! I thought my dirt-eating days were over when I hit 2 years old, but NO SIR, today proved me wrong!

Fortunately, the cashiers refunded double the purchase price for the sandwich, which is apparently their policy - but I won't be returning...

The great store has great customer service and the staff is really nice the only reason why it's a four stars because I think they need to have a team meeting on how to back groceries properly I remember when I was a teenager had to be trained on how to bad groceries properly I think they need to do this at can't be mixing meat products what other meat example ground beef with chicken should not be back together same thing goes with produce do not mix with meat products do not mix box goods or canned goods with produce or meat products something I think that...

Highly upset. I placed an online order at 2pm. Reserved my time mind u we get charged for. Was notified it would be a little late so, I’m thinking a few mins. It didn’t get started for 2hrs, making my pick up time an hour plus later than what was scheduled and expected. Very upset with the customer service and support on this situation. Honestly if I didn’t need the groceries I would 100% cancel my order and shop elsewhere. Brookneal needs another grocery store…Foodlion is failing this...
