So I just came from urgent care for my 3 year old daughter that’s been having a fever for 5 days now. Mind you I contacted her pcp after two days of no fever relief. The office said it’s probably just a virus and to come in if symptoms worsen. Anyways the urgent care doctor suspected pneumonia and ordered an antibiotic and told me “I would go get that right away”. I went to Walgreens which was literally 5 mins away. I arrive at Walgreens for the lady to already have an attitude and tell me I don’t have insurance which my child has insurance through my employer and state. I proceed to tell her I don’t understand how they always say this when this has been my pharmacy for years now. She continues with her attitude (pretty sure she had an attitude because I came an hour before closing). But not my fault I was in urgent care all that time. Anyways the lady muted the mic and said something to the other pharmacist tech and got back on the mic and said “I just put your insurance in so you gonna have to come back tomorrow in the morning at 9:30”. I used the automated system to check the status of my prescription and it said there was nothing ready so I assumed they hadn’t received my prescription yet. My husband went up to the store and they had it ready for me apparently. Would have been nice to know. Very frustrating! I’ll be switching...
