My surgeon sent orders to CHWC late Sunday night for me to get taken first thing Monday morning. These orders were sent over and to be received back stat. Upon my arrival to CHWC the woman working at registration attempted to call radiology to verify they had my orders. The radiology department did not answer so she had to send them a chat via her computer. Radiology then claimed they had no orders for me and said they called my surgeons office but no one answered so they'd call back when they had time. I left and immediately called and left a message for my surgeon informing them of the issue. I waited several hours and attempted to call the radiology department several times throughout the day to see if they had received my orders yet but no one ever answered the phone. My surgeons office then called me later that afternoon and informed they had resent my orders twice and had attempted to contact radiology but no one ever answered. I went back to CHWC and got my xrays done that were to be read and sent back stat late Monday afternoon. As of Wednesday my surgeon still has yet to receive the report and images that were ordered and taken on Monday. CHWC can't even handle answering their phones let alone getting images read and sent to the ordering physicians, why in the world would anyone ever trust them with their life? I will be certain myself and those around me never use their...
Read moreI’ve had two very bad ER experiences this year. The first I came in with excruciating abdominal pain. The ER dr that night pretty much told me I had a low pain tolerance and that it was gastroenteritis. Very rude and dismissive. A month later I went to a GI specialist and they scheduled 3 tests. Did 2 of them and they called me right away to have an urgent gallbladder removal. My surgeon literally told me he didn’t know how I was sitting there talking to him because people with gallbladder problems are in incredible pain. If I could just rate him he’d get 5 stars because he saved my life.
My second visit was last week. It was after midnight and I came in because I’m pregnant with high fever. I was barely checked in on, and would wait forever to just have my temp checked. Now it wasn’t even busy that night and I could hear the nurses just talking about. I ended up having the flu and that’s that. No fluids even though I told them I couldn’t keep food down. Wouldn’t even offer Tylenol for my fever. Just told me to go. Took off my own pulse ox and BP cuff and was almost out of the ER before they came down with my visit summary cause they got rid of me too fast.
Even though the doctor from my first visit minimized my pain and symptoms and it could have gone horribly wrong the nurses that night were very caring unlike my...
Read morethe er is full of judgmental workers, especially if you’re here for a mental illness and are a big harm to yourself. the er workers will just make fun of you and laugh at you for the rest of your life and every time they see you. they also think it’s okay to give schizophrenic patients medications they physically cannot take without going crazy by literally holding the person down against their own will and force a shot into them/force them to take a medication even when they’re screaming and fighting otherwise. then when the person fights against them to not black out and take the medication they’re forcing on the person they’ll make security hold them down against their will. then turn you in and put a charge on you for fighting for your right of not wanting to take a medication. i really hope someone sues this hospital one day, they do not deserve their jobs. imagine forcing your patients to take shots/medications against their own will even when they TOLD you they cannot take that medication due to their mental illness. sick...
