I have known Alan Robandt for nearly 20 years. I first met him when I was the Executive Director of the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce. I love his gallery. As an art dealer from NYC I find the merchandise in his antique store to be absolutely exceptional. Alan has exceptional taste and an incredible knowledge of antiques. His expertise and eye for design is outstanding. I have been a client since he opened his store in downtown Buchanan. I’ve recently taken my husband in to his gallery to purchase items for our new home, and we both love him dearly, both as an individual, and as a businessman. He is credible, moral, and honest. We are so lucky to have his gallery in our area. Photo below is a Spanish Colonial Baroque wood carving of Jesus ca 1780

I bought two beautiful fish platters and this Vintage French fish poacher at Alan Robandt Antiques in Buchanan, MI. today. Tried it out this evening with Alexa Perry’s gift of Alaskan salmon. We loved it. I usually grill salmon over firewood. This gives me a fun and interesting alternative. I had two 11yr old girls with me in the store and they were totally fascinated by Alan’s things. I went away realizing there is no other store I need to visit to get gifts for loved ones. Christmas, Hanukkah, birthdays, valentine’s day, Mother’s day or anything interesting for your home, Alan has a lot of great stuff. He is knowledgeable and generous and thankfully he was open for business because almost no one else was.

I love this place and it's eclectic finds. Their antiques range in price as they do in age and it's the mixing and matching old with new that makes it exciting. They are very thoughtful there and often will let you try things out to make sure it fits in your space. They are very down to earth at the shop in this cute little town. It's worth a stop all times of the year. I love these random beautiful gems I have found here. They bring me so much joy. This gorgeous Mexican mask is one of a kind the Reuben A Miller flag is such a find. I would check them out if I was you!
