Decided to make the trek to get to this little place right in the heart of all of the construction downtown. Let's just say everything about this place is completely underwhelming. The ciders are okay, the wines are okay, the menu looks as if a toddler wrote it. Bad discriprions, missing ingredients on the plate. Just all around a bad experience. I had the filet, it wad very basic and tasted like the vacuum sealed package it came in, my wife had the salmon, and although the "bourbon glaze" didnt tast awful, who in their right mind has a tomato based sauce for salmon?? Deserts taste like they're made off sight even though they're claimed to be home made. And above all the general manager, Shawn, doesn't respect her wait staff, I can only imagine how she treats her kitchen staff. This place lacks heart, it lacks passion. And it lacks quality. All the thing thay advertise. My wife and I will never be returning, and save yourself the $100 it will cost you to have a meal and go some place like hilltop or mcollums, you WILL have a better experience for your money. If I could leave 0...
Read moreWe have eaten here once before and the food was alright, but overpriced. We decided to give it another try. It was very hard to choose what to eat because nothing sounded good. The options were very limited and the descriptions were vague and odd. We settled for the chicken sandwich, lobster Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and the mushroom burger. I fully expected the mushroom burger to be the dish to not be to our liking. However the mushroom burger was the only actually “good” food we ate tonight. The lobster Mac was dry and underwhelming. The chicken sandwich was not good, it had an odd taste. The fries with the sandwiches were old, cold, and dry. And even the mashed potatoes were dry and not right. I mentioned to the waitress that the chicken was not good and she seemed surprised and just stood there awkwardly. Our bill did not even come close to reflecting the quality of food we had. I had high hopes for this place since we really love the sister business. But we won’t...
Read moreAmazing experience from start to finish. Customer service was great! I had called ahead of time to make sure the place was open for dinner and a nice cheerful lady answered the phone. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful as well. The restaurant felt like I was in a Anthropologie magazine! Gorgeous and comfortable clean spaces. They put a lot of thought and details to make the restaurant aesthetic and unique. Nice music selections playing and everything was just pleasing to the eyes! So classy and charming. Food was amazing. I highly recommend the butter bread board. We ordered a ginger and elderberry fizzy drink. The waitress added edible vegan glitter to mine so she wouldn’t mix it up with my husband’s. It was a sweet gesture and it made the drink look extra magical. It tasted light and refreshing. We ordered the Bucktown Pasta and a burger. Generous portion sizes, tasty flavor! We took our time and did not feel rushed out. Definitely coming back and bringing my...
