I wanted to share some honest feedback regarding my experience.
Over the past few weeks, the swim instructor has missed two sessions, and during the classes, I noticed that the instructor often observes from a distance without providing meaningful correction—even when the children are practicing incorrect techniques. Instead, they appear to be engaged in conversations with fellow staff during instruction time.
Additionally, the front desk staff has not been consistently welcoming, and the lifeguards’ behavior feels more like surveillance than supportive supervision. Despite having a valid pass, I was told that children are not allowed during certain hours and that I would need to pay double the fee, which has made it difficult to maintain a consistent swim schedule and improve my children’s skills.
Overall, the environment feels overly restrictive and not particularly child- or parent-friendly. For a more supportive and professionally run program, I would recommend Collins Hill instead.

My children were practicing swimming in the lap pool, and while they were allowed to use it before, one of the front staffs suddenly told us they couldn’t use it anymore. When I explained that they had been allowed the day before, the staff reluctantly let them enter, but later told us that what they were doing “was just floating” and they should not come again.
While my children are still learning, they were actively swimming and using the lane with purpose. Labeling their practice as “just floating” felt dismissive and discouraging. I believe all swimmers, regardless of skill level, should be treated with respect.
The staff never asked about my children’s swimming abilities, they just asked their ages a little later. It felt like they made assumptions based solely on how young they looked, which comes across as age-based discrimination.
And one staff told me I have to pay separate fee for the leisure pool, while one of the front staffs said that I can use both leisure/lap pools with my passes.
What felt even more unfair was that several older adults were in the lap pool just standing around and talking, not swimming at all. No one asked them to leave, but my children—who were quietly practicing their swimming—were told they shouldn’t be there.
The rules were not applied consistently, and it felt like we were being singled out unfairly based on age or assumptions.
We were allowed to go to the lap pool at 11am in the Collins Hill aquatics center, which is run by the same Gwinnett county.
The rules were not clearly explained and seemed to change depending on the staff. The tone used also felt dismissive, especially in front of the children.
I understand the need for safety and rules, but I hope the staff can communicate those policies more clearly and respectfully in the future in advance.
Parents and young swimmers deserve consistency and courtesy.

I emailed the gwinnett parks about it, Kristin gave us generous offer as courtesy. We really appreciate the effort to...
Read moreOne star rating because the staff at this location are pretty rude and inconsiderate to be honest. To make a long story short. Due to covid you have to pay in advance (no problem) I booked the night before and it started thundering and lightening pretty badly on the day of. I called to see if we could be credited for a different day so I wouldn’t have to be out and on the roads in the bad weather and my youngest is pretty afraid of thunder and lightening (I never even asked for a refund). I was pretty much brushed off and told that because they are indoors that it is pretty much my choice to not come so a credit cannot be given. I called Collins Hill location because we have had several positive experiences there with that staff and they agreed with me as well that a credit or refund should’ve been given and that they do not operate that way at that location. So apparently all of the locations are managed separately. It’s honestly not even about the money, it’s just about treating people like they are people and giving a little consideration. The tone of voice and non chalant attitude of take it or leave it was truly...
Read moreThis review is 100% pertaining to the pool.
I’ll start by saying it takes a lot for me to leave a google review. I felt the need to look out for future families considering purchasing a pass/membership. We had high hopes and we’re excited to check the place out; unfortunately, this place couldn’t have been a bigger disappointment.
The lady working the desk was the definition of a Karen. On top of that, she shared how the pool will be closed for 10 weeks soon & that they have very particular hours that make it near impossible to make use of the pass unless the person is a stay at home parent.
They were super strict and made you reserve a lane in advance to use one of the pools. The other pool was extremely small & loud. Not to mention it didn’t bring in the best crowd. There were a lot of creepy guys who were checking out my wife and made her feel uncomfortable. Safe to say we left after about 10 minutes.
We will never be back and if you’re in the market for a pool community, I strongly suggest...
