Exceptional Service During a Difficult Time - 5 Stars I recently had the pleasure of working with Dave and the team at the Huntsman Boulevard location, and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and kindness during what was a challenging situation for my family. After my father passed away, my sister and I spent years working through his extensive collection of belongings. Among the items we discovered were 21 moving boxes of comic books that we had carefully set aside. Living in a different city with a property in Springfield, made the logistics particularly complicated. We initially visited Tosche Station, but they recognized that our collection was beyond what they could handle immediately and connected us with Dave. Please, give these nice people a break, and call before just showing up with a large volume of comics like I did! From our very first conversation, Dave was incredibly accommodating and understanding of our unique circumstances. When our original timeline didn't work with my flight schedule home, he and his team went above and beyond by making space at their Huntsman location so we could drop off the collection before I had to leave. Dave's communication was prompt and professional - he contacted me the very next day with a thorough appraisal. What impressed me most was not just the fairness of their evaluation, but their attention to detail. They even discovered that one of our boxes contained some family keepsakes, and my sister was able to retrieve those items the following day. Throughout the entire process, Dave and his team treated us with genuine care and respect. They understood that this wasn't just a business transaction for us - it was part of settling our father's estate and closing a difficult chapter. Their compassion and professionalism made what could have been a stressful experience remarkably smooth. While I can't predict what others might expect for their collections (comic book conditions vary so widely), I can confidently say that this team will treat you fairly and with genuine respect. If you're looking for honest, professional comic book buyers (and sellers too) who truly care about their customers, I wholeheartedly recommend Dave and the Huntsman Boulevard team. They also have toys, cards, and other collectable, but we mostly had comics. Thank you for making a difficult process so much easier...
Read moreI never leave reviews and I feel the need to for this store. The previous review claiming the store treated him and his family poorly is a flat lie. I was actually in the store when this happened and nothing about it is correct. The children were kicking the FREE arcades and slamming their fists down on the buttons. I have no idea why this guys claiming they cost money either cause it is all free to play. He was very unpleasant to be around honestly. As far as comics go they have some of the best modern books you can get as well as some major key books i have never seen in person. They actually still have absolute batman on the shelf as well lol. As a collectibles shop this is definitely one of the best I've been. I understand having a smaller selection of some items as they have a little of everything and I can imagine it's hard to balance as much stuff they have in stock. Staff is some of the nicest friendliest people I've met and will drop everything to answer the easiest or most complicated questions. Or just someone to talk to about the latest and greatest in pop culture. All in all I give this store a 9.5 out of 10 should visit for anything pop culture or...
Read moreMy family and I have patronized this shop since they opened, but after today, we probably won't be going anymore. Today, an employee told us, "if you want to play games, you can't push them that hard." This is understandable, however, my children weren't even banging on the machines. I did not want to go today, as we had a similar experience on our last visit, but my children really wanted to go. This shop presents a family environment, but my family and I haven't felt welcome during the past 3 visits. During the last visit, one of the employees address one of my FIVE YEAR old children! If there's an issue, you speak to the parent, and I was standing near my son. And, on the visit before that, I was told I couldn't buy something at cover price even though it was on the shelf. That seems like an organizational oversight to me, not MY problem. This shop has poor comics selections, hardly any Magic, and they don't make my family feel welcome. We will no longer be patronizing this shop by paying $20 for arcade games for 2 minutes. This shop doesn't even deserve this one star, but we can't leave zero.
