Jefferson Fresh Foods IGA - Whitehall MT — Local services in Butte

Terrible place and experience. I'm a CDT hiker and stayed in Whitehall for 2 days for resupply and recovery. I walked in to Jefferson Fresh Foods really looking forward to fresh food which you can't get on trail. I got 20 feet in the door and an employee accosted me for having a service dog. I remained polite and stated he was a service dog and that I couldn't just leave him outside alone. The employee was rude and told me to leave which violates the Americans With Disabilities Act.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Go down the street to the not as nice of store but far far nicer people at the Family Dollar. They were kind there and treated me and my service dog...

Great small town grocery store in Whitehall MT. Got groceries here several times over the last few years when traveling through this area. They have a very good selection of goods. Produce seemed good and so did the meat department. Prices seamed fair for a small down and most IGA stores I have been in a good. Employees were friendly and helpful. I do almost all of my grocery shopping at IGA because it's convenient, being a senior using a wheelchair. The staff is so friendly and always available to assist me in any way necessary. One time my power chair failed me and Chad even got into my van so I could make it home and call a friend for help. Good selection for a small store and a great bunch...
