Only good thing was the convenient location (as long as you're not bothered by the sounds of the interstate). No local food delivery on Tuesday and Thursday I believe so we were thankful we had food with us. I called the property to ask for pet price and room price. Told 100 for the room over the phone just to have a 65 dollar receipt handed to me the next morning. But because we were told 100,we booked online and ended up paying more. Awesome customer service🙄🙄🙄 The owner was something else. There's 3 different pet prices. 30 on Expedia, 15 over the phone and 25 at the desk. They also don't tell you that the pet has a size limit. Less than 15-20 pounds and they're actually phasing out pets altogether. I told him my dog didn't bark and he scoffed at me and said we will see. Some way to treat customers. Coffee was awful and all of the dollar store items are very obvious. After paying 125 dollars for a room that was dirty! He was worried about my dog smelling the room up but the headboard was so dirty, my head stuck to it AFTER I SHOWERED! ROOM 115. The shower curtain was stained, the shower head is NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE. IT'S BROKEN. There's not 42 inch TV, the microwave was about the same size... Speaking of the microwave, it is a fire hazard and was emitting sparks from the outlet. Not to mention the heater only has one setting, FULL BLAST. But the ac that's still in the wall almost offsets the full blast heater when it's 27°F outside! Take your ACs out of the wall! No cover, nothing! Full blast heater and a whole in the wall. Fire hazards and sticky headboards....
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. The room was nothing fancy but it was clean and quiet. There were even plants on the bedside table! We got in late, all the restaurants were closed so it was very nice to see the welcome basket of snacks in the room. The hallways stairways were very clean and did not have that awful hotel smell. The room had a nice balcony where I got to see the Montana sunrise the next morning. The breakfast was not anything spectacular but everything was fresh, good and filling. The lobby was beautifully decorated in rustic decor. The breakfast tables were very clean, had runners on them and even flowers. The lady working behind the desk was warm and friendly which made us feel right at home. All in all it was an excellent overnight stay for a couple of road weary travelers. We appreciate you allowing us to be your guests. Should the winds of fortune have me pass this way again I look forward to another stay. I will offer up one suggestion and it is not a deal breaker on the 5 star rating. Be sure to check and clean the air conditioner filters. It will help with the air flow and keep you from having to replace the air conditioner unit themselves sooner...
Read moreWe stopped at the Jefferson Inn in Whitehall yesterday (1/7/24) after being stuck in our vehicle on the highway for seven hours waiting for emergency crews to clear a major accident. We were one of several cars who immediately pulled into the Inn looking for a room to stay the night rather than continuing our journey. While we would have stayed literally anywhere, we were so pleasantly surprised and grateful for the Inn. It was clean, welcoming, comfortable, and family friendly. While you can tell the building is older, the remodeling has updated it nicely and it is super cute. We particularly enjoyed the game room downstairs and the breakfast that was included was far better than the chain hotel that we had stayed in the previous few nights. We would absolutely stay at the Jefferson Inn again by choice after experiencing it by accident. Thank you to the staff for welcoming all of us weary and freaked out...
