I should have seen some of the other bad reviews before stopping into this Walmart location to exchange a defective headlight bulb I had purchased at another Walmart location. The bulb had gone out after only 4 months, and the package stated that if the buyer was dissatisfied with the product within 12 months of purchase, simply return it to retailer for refund or replacement. I figured I could return it to any Walmart location since I purchased it from Walmart, but the "supervisor" on duty at this store in Caldwell, Texas, decided to make the experience as unpleasant as possible. The employee, Miles, was the rudest, most unprofessional Walmart employee I have ever encountered, and that is saying a lot! He not only refused to allow me to exchange the defective product, but was incredibly smart-aleck during the entire process. Miles was not friendly whatsoever when he was called to the service desk to greet me, but he also appeared unshaven and was wearing jeans and a dirty-looking t-shirt under his Walmart vest. It is truly unbelievable that a so-called "supervisor" of customer service has obviously never been trained in customer service! He never offered that I could speak with the store manager and I had to demand the store manager's name and contact number, whom he said was "unavailable" when I was there. If I had an employee that treated customers the way Miles handled my situation, he would be gone immediately! It is so simple to take care of customers in a friendly and helpful way, but Miles chose to do so in the worst way possible! I wound up stopping at another Walmart location when I got to Houston, and the manager of that location made things so simple for me. He explained that although Walmart offers a 90-day return on defective products, a replacement can be offered after 90 days at the discretion of the manager on duty. It all boils down to the attitude of the employee in wanting to keep customers satisfied! Miles has a LOT TO LEARN about...
Read moreQueeny needs to read the signs above her head at the customer service desk or listen to what the commercials say over their intercom about hassle free returns!! I tried to avoid walmarts due to lack of professionalism and courtesy but like everyone else, every once in awhile you go back. I figured in a smaller town better service sadly mistaken. Went to return an item with a receipt which I hate to do anyways but needed to exchange merchandise not taken out of package whatsoever not taken back disgusting or with any oder just like it was purchased due to it being wrong size and was denied why because she didn't take the time to look at the receipt and then marked on the receipt across the wrong merchandise upc way off!! Hands it back and says I can't do the return. Not would you like to exchange or run the transaction without the receipt and run your Id or anything. Poor customer service and looks horrible with that huge sign hanging above her head refunds, exchange, return...
Read moreReally small, with a shotty lil grocery section. It's ok for an emergency in and out stop, without having to drive 30miles. Customer service Sucks. Very small town so the employees seem to click up, & hold grudges, especially if you if you call them on on their attitude, the way they talk to you, refuse to help you, or mistake you for an idiot. So best to keep your mouth shut and just accept their unproffesionalism. I have had a few of the employees that were helpful and seemed to like their job. That would be the 25% that seem seem to be genuine...but the other 75% are the reason I only shop there if its life or death... otherwise I would rather drink...
