Quiet, very clean-smelling, ordered salmon and vegetables, jumbo shrimp, fried stuffed mushrooms, fried okra, and crawfish!
Crawfish was cooked with ginger, which we really appreciated! They brought us a moderate and fair amount of crawfish sauces and corn and potato without charging extra— very thoughtful of them.
All fried food was great! The batter was unique, crunchy, and flaky. I loved the jumbo fried shrimp. They were deveined and paired super well with their cocktail sauce! The cocktail sauce was so good— I never tasted it like that before— very appreciated again.
Salmon was cooked to juicy perfection, topped with a lemon crab sauce, and all veggies on the side were tasty and cooked perfectly.
Overall, we could tell a lot of thought and care and passion goes into this restaurant. Don't judge it from the old building. Just know you'll expect a clean, fresh place, modern touches, with great food that is satisfying and worth the fair price!
We will definitely be coming back as we take this route back to Houston often.
The only thing that could improve is to tell staff to wipe down seats to make sure no food is left over in the seats before seating new guests.
Our waitress was really sweet, and she did clean it when we pointed it out. Everything else was able to compensate for the seats with leftover food debris in them, but if you really want to impress, don't forget to clean the...
Read moreHere is my original review: Went last weekend with some friends. While my food was really good, my husband had under cooked scallops. The double shot of Jamison’s he ordered was barely 1 shot. But that wasn’t the worst part. The young man bussing the tables had hair hanging in his face. Not a strand of hair; a face full completely covering his eyes. I’m not sure how he walked among the tables without running into things. And I’m not sure how well he could see the tables to properly clean them. Management should require that his hair be out of his face, or make him wear a hairnet.
After posting that, I was contacted by someone claiming to be the boy's father. That person told me how devastated the kid was and how he had social anxiety. I felt so bad for the young man that I took down my review. I said all kinds of nice things to "dad" about how he was looking out for his son, etc. Turns out, the "dad" is not his father (most likely doesn't have kids), was the manager of Texas Seafood for, he claims, a month, and completely manipulated me.
I stand by my original review. And if the current manager would like to know who the "dad" is, I'm happy to share that information. This whole thing is just further confirmation to me that I do not want to go back to Texas...

Yesterday, my wife, sister-in-law, father-in-law, and I had the pleasure of dining at Texas Seafood And Steak House to celebrate a special birthday. We were intrigued by its unique blend of steak, seafood, and Asian cuisine, a combination that speaks to the restaurant's charming, mom-and-pop style.
As someone who follows a carnivore diet, focusing on meats, fish, and dairy, I'm always on the lookout for exceptional steak. The filet mignon and lobster combo at Texas Seafood And Steak House exceeded my expectations, ranking as one of the finest filets I've ever savored. The steak's flavor and texture were simply outstanding.
Adding to the culinary delight was the service we received. The staff were remarkably personable and attentive, ensuring our celebration was memorable. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in both cuisine and customer care, making Texas Seafood And Steak House a true gem.
I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and give it a well-deserved five stars for providing an unparalleled...
