June 25th 2022 rented the Lacamas Lodge for our wedding reception. A few things that we wished we had known. First off the sound system is bad. We paid the extra hundred for the sound system. During the reception the music cut in and out. Also when our guests came the music/words could not be clearly heard/understood. Also there is no adjustment for sound so the quality was horrible. Second, parking and loitering was not enforced. Which allowed other people to park, walk around and sit on the patio. Forcing us not to use it. Also the other people were wearing swimming suits/bikini’s. Which I didn’t appreciate for the background of the wedding reception. Third, the grounds were not well kept. One week before the reception we asked them to clean up the weeds. They only cleaned up the very front entrance and so the parking lot and around the building was covered in weeds...
Read moreThe Lodge was the perfect venue for our wedding last month. It was a very rainy day, and the overhang on the patio worked perfectly for our 30 person ceremony and the indoor space held 80 people without feeling squished. The open floor plan inside made it easy for us to decorate how we wanted. The staff was very helpful throughout the process. The only complaint I have is that we set up our sweetheart table against the windows and you can clearly see in almost all of our photos that the windows are dirty and covered in handprints. If you hold an event here, I would definitely ask that the windows be cleaned prior to the event, or don’t use the windows...
Read moreI drove 2.5 hrs to celebrate a friend's wife that recently passed. I parked in an area that said it was for event parking. I was going to a celebration event. Beautiful place. Lots of people. I walked some of the trails. I was there for maybe an hour, went back to my car and found a nasty note that said my vehicle would be towed for parking in the area.
