What a difference a chip makes. I have a 40 year old Onkyo amp and pre-amp that the left channel went out of the amp. I truly didn’t want to get rid of my vintage audio equipment, so I researched the internet hoping for someone whom could repair my equipment. High End Audio was local and received high ratings. I contacted Mike and explained my situation. We made an appointment for evaluation. He explained in detail his recommendations and quoted me a price and expected repair date. Not only is Mike extremely professional but he knows his STUFF. After cleaning the circuit board, replacing the VU meter lights with LED’s and installing the new and improved IC chips, I can’t tell you in words how happy I am with my new system. I’m hearing notes and sounds in my music that I never heard before. In summary, if you’re looking for high end vintage audio repair, look no further Mike is your best choice. I highly recommend you give him the opportunity to improve your...
Read moreThere are not enough characters to detail the level of customer satisfaction I have with this business. I had an Adcom 7500, where only 4 out of 5 channels were working. I had searched all over and was given a timeline of where I'd be without my amp for 3-4 weeks. This was just for review and assessment, not even repair. I came across this company and called 10 minutes before closing and Mr. Mike stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes after closing. All of my questions were answered and even those I didn't know I'd have were answered. We set up an appointment and the respect I got over the phone was the same as I got in person. My repair took about 3 days. The pricing was more than fair. It was a joy to pay considering I got my amp working again. I will be a repeat customer. The post-repair follow-up is also unique. All-in-all this is a very unique repair facility. Quality, integrity plus great pricing equals High End...
Read moreI was searching for a technician to troubleshoot and repair some headset microphones for my church a few weeks ago. Although he said those kinds of microphones were not his typical job, Mike agreed to take a look and do what he could. He was the only repair shop that I contacted to actually offer to do a repair - every other place either gave me a stock answer ("reach out to the manufacturer") or said they could not help. Mike informed me that one of the church's microphones was broken beyond repair (and proved it to me with his tools and a simple explanation that I could understand), which was helpful because it eliminated the uncertainty we had about whether or not the mic could be salvaged. The second microphone was fixed with a simple heat shrink to keep the 3.5mm connector in place. That fix has been working perfectly for our pastor, and it saved us from spending $800+ on a...
