Spizzy Smoothies and Teas — Restaurant in Maryland

First let me start by saying, i get a bowl smoothie or Turkey sandwich(me & my husband) but lately I’ve been on this bowl almost everyday day. I really enjoy the bowl with every benefit. I walked in last Friday morning, young man said we don’t have any blueberries(he knows what I get every day) I said kool I still want it. I get my bowl I see there’s no blueberries or flax seeds I’m like ok whatever. Fast forward to Monday morning, a lil after 10Am same young man. I say Gm you have everything for the bowl today? he said yes, I said that’s what I want, he said I already know. He said give me 12 mins I said ok thinking in my head did he really say 12 mins or I’m hearing things I sat & waited as he got several orders out(knowing now he really said 12 mins) I finally got my bowl I looked at it I said the seeds in here? he looked me in my face & said yes. I went to the car & stirred my bowl looking for them(contemplating going back in) I walked back in he looked @ me and said HYD😂 he knows I come in there on a regular with a metro uniform on. I said where the seeds (with my bowl in my hand) he said they not in there I said no, he said you want me to remake the whole bowl? I said No just sprinkle some seeds pls. I said when you’re out stuff you should give discounts because that’s why people enjoy the bowl, but what I really wanted to say is that’s how you lose customers. Found this shop because I was craving an açaí bowl and there aren’t many in the area. I was skeptical due to the location but wanted to give the business a chance. Google listed the opening starting at 10am so arrived at 10:03 to a locked shop. Finally, one of the employees come rolling up at 10:06 and let’s us in. We ask if they serve açaí bowls-as listed on their website and he responds, “I have to check.” Upon getting inside he heads directly behind the counter without washing his hands and never gets back to us. Shortly after another employee rolls in and goes behind the counter without washing his hands. He kindly greets us and asks how he can help. We ask for açaí bowls and he responds, “I have to check” he goes to the back and returns within 10 seconds and says they don’t have any. On their website just about everything is listed as sold out and it’s Wednesday morning. When does inventory get restocked? How is everything sold out mid week. This shop seems sketchy. I won’t be returning which is unfortunate when you want to invest in the community. I’ll have to venture to VA or DC to get quality service. If I could give negative...

It was our first time trying but we found it to be a great spot with PG County inspired names for the smoothies. I really liked the customer service and it turned out to be a plus that we were actually being served by the owner and his brother that day...In addition to the smoothie, my Husband and I got a callaloo Caribbean patty and it was delicious. So delicious, that we had to go back and get another one...we tried the lentil Carribean patties on the second go round and they were just as good.
