Read moreGot a custom vanity and medicine cabinet cost $3k. Salesperson recommended a molding on the medicine cabinet, which I thought sounded nice and agreed. However, The salesperson didn't factor in the width of the molding correctly (it was a 3" molding, not a small embellishment and larger than I'd anticipated), though she had the measurements of the space. The additional width due to the molding meant the cabinet couldn't be properly centered in the space. It was also a hugely long piece of wood, probably 3x what was needed, and I expect jacked up the price tag (but can't prove because their invoice wasn't itemized). When I asked if I could return the molding, my email was ignored. Then, their countertop fabricators came out to cut the hole for the faucet on the vanity. They were very proscriptive about exactly when in the process they had to come out, which was late in the renovation, and a bit difficult to coordinate, esp. because I couldn't communicate with fabricators directly, had to go through Camio salesperson, who only works part time. Fabricators finally came out to drill a custom hole for the faucet I provided. However, they failed to factor in the backsplash, so the faucet didn't fit. When I called Camio to report the error, they were unable to get in touch with fabricators for a couple of days, and then fabricators couldn't come out for another week, meaning I had a mostly finished bathroom but couldn't use sink for over week, delaying my project finish date and inconveniencing my contractor. Never received an apology, even after I contacted the owner of Camio. They ignored me. Ended up getting a different faucet rather than dealing with the fabricators and risking another snafu. Maybe Camio is nicer to their bigger customers, but to me it was a lot to spend on custom cabinetry and I ended up feeling like I was just a nuisance to them. We have several future plans for renovation, and will be taking our future custom cabinetry needs to a different vendor. Do...
I started communicating with them over a year ago, and the project is still incomplete. From the very beginning, I provided them with 3D plans, detailed measurements, and the full space layout. They should have used that information to offer better design solutions, but instead they neglected important details and made costly mistakes.
Owner and manager Chris C only showed up to take measurements, then disappeared and stopped responding. They installed the wrong-sized cabinets, making the entire kitchen less functional, and had to redo parts of the job. The cabinet finish is uneven, the paint looks terrible under any light, and overall the work shows poor attention to detail.
They also subcontracted other workers but left me to manage communication with them myself — including the countertop installation. That is not the client’s responsibility.
After a year of delays, poor workmanship, and a lack of communication, we still do not have a properly finished kitchen. To make matters worse, they are charging us extra. This company has failed to deliver what was promised. I would never recommend them to anyone seeking reliability, quality, or...
