Located directly across the street from the Canton Junction commuter rail stop, at the edge of the Canton / Stoughton line, is Plenty of Dough, a relative newcomer in an area where pizza competition is fiercely dominated by famous bar pizza joints but this place is very different.
Plenty of Dough is a takeout and delivery spot, with no seating inside, that has a simple menu but that they execute very well. My wife and I have had their food a few times and each time we were very pleased with how it all came out. We've tried their pizza, calzone and I look forward to trying one of their subs soon as well as their appetizers. They even had a special that they advertised on Instagram a while back that we tried - a pizza with gorgonzola cheese, caramelized onions, basil and extra virgin olive oil and it was amazing! Kind of wish it was part of their regular rotation.
The calzone was tasty and we're particularly fond of the red sauce they use. It's not too sweet, but yet complex - it's the perfect, supporting base to showcase whatever toppings we get.
The staff is really friendly and they have a few parking spots as well. This is by far the best Italian-style pizza in the area. I cannot recommend it enough. And if you want to keep a pulse on their specials, make sure to give their social media...
Read moreSince we moved to Canton we ordered from plenty of dough as it is the closest place to our home.
Well that was the first reason we picked this place, now after a year we still order only from them on a weekly basis and I can only say great things about their food and service.
Pizza is outstanding, starting from the dough, salsa, and toppings. The bianca is by far my favorite with the Quattro as a close second. In 12 years I've been in the states this is the only place I can have a taste of something authentic just like back home in Italy.
The subs are also way above the average that you usually get. The sausage one is a piece of work with grilled onions and the sauce they use.
Last but not least we just had our son's first birthday party and guess who I picked to cater the food?
Meatballs, chicken Parm, wings, bbq wings, there is absolutely nothing coming from this place that can disappoint. My guests were also impressed to the point that my sister in law will host a graduation party in August and will also arrange the gathering with them.
Thank you for the delicious food and outstanding service Antonio and staff, keep up with...
Read moreIt is nice to see a young man running his own business and doing a great job at it. Very friendly and took the time to ask about my day and shake my hand. The very small kitchen is spotless to say the least. I will say this is by far the best pizza in the area. Real Italian pizza! Fresh dough that is crispy but not hard. The crust has a nice fluffy texture with crispy edge that is perfectly kissed with just the right amount of burn. Not burnt but kissed! The sauce has a super fresh tomatoe flavor with a slight tanginess that is absolutely delicious. The cheese is simply perfect. Nice and fresh without being chewy or clumpy. Truly awesome pizza. Got 2 huge slices for a very fair price. Next time it is pizza night at the house I will pick up a large cheese and pepperoni and report back with an updated review. My new spot for New York style Italian pizza! UPDATE: Second visit was spot on. I ordered a small cheese and a small pepperoni for take out dinner for my wife and daughters. We all agreed that it was delicious and are happy to add it to the top spot of our...
