Majestic Theatre of Canton — Local services in Canton

The theater is clean and looks nice and you can't beat the prices. However I wasn't super impressed with the staff member who came down and asked me to put my phone away (which scared me as well 😅) then walked away without giving me a second to respond. And here's the thing 100% get it on asking me to put my phone away. However had said employee given me a second to get past the fact that she scared the daylights out of me, I'd have informed her I am a type one diabetic out enjoying a day with 3 of my kiddos and we'd done some walking and ate at the new "cup of canton" prior to coming in and I guesstimated on my insulin amount and was quickly bottoming out. My device to check my sugar connects directly to my phone and I had been constantly rechecking It to ensure it wasn't low enough to cause panic and that I wasn't going to need someone else to help me. I've been here many times and on another occasion had a similar issue but when the kid who came to say something last time said something to me I quietly explained and told him my brightness was as low as it would go and I was doing my best to block the light. He said he understood and asked that I was just respectful to other people watching the movie. This could have definitely been handled better and I hope that the staff member involved reads this and does better in the future. We love going here outside of this...

I love this place, 8 dollars for a movie, popcorn, and a drink? That's a steal. Candy I believe is 3 dollars each? Refills on soda, lemonade and juice are not free. But you can get water. The popcorn is already very salty, and has way more than enough butter so I usually get it plain. And trust me, I'm a salt and butter lover. The seats are very comfy, and the screen is very big and the sound is great. My only thing is I wish they would have better movie choices. Sometimes they have a movie here I haven't even seen an advertisement for on TV. Maybe choose based on popularity. I dunno what money or technicalities go into it, I don't work there. But for the price and the quality? I have no room to complain. Just glad we have something...

I will not be giving my money to a business that doesn’t know how to have some compassion for an autistic child! Absolutely makes me sick. Charlie really needs a good lesson on how to have some understanding of a 5 year old autistic child who was laughing throughout the movie but told her mom that she needs to have her “keep it down” absolutely disgusting. I guess children aren’t allowed to laugh during a Children’s movie!!! Literally makes me sick to my stomach! Lost a lot of cantons business...
