Few things are as fun as when I find money in the pocket of pants I haven’t worn in a while, but today’s find topped that feeling when I discovered that RadioShack is still in business. The stores are now family owned and offer the same large selection of electronics and much more. Fernando was great in assisting me. I appreciate that they have Apple Pay. I have been limited to Amazon for most of my electronic small devices. The Shack is back! I ordered a connector from Amazon that arrives tomorrow. The same connector was here and 30 percent cheaper! Read moreThis place is a joke the guy that's there the majority of the time is inpatient and really does not have a good knowledge or understanding of electronics when trying to ask technical questions, not what I expect from a "repair center" .The lady that is there sometimes is friendly and helps to the best of her ability. Prices are extremely high and if you call and ask if they have something in stock half the time they leave you on hold for 5 to 10 minutes while they are dealing with walk ins. The only plus to a RadioShack nowadays is they do have some hard to find components if you are in a pinch and need them...
Read moreI can’t make this up. I bought two A23 batteries. On my way to the car, I noticed one was expired so I turned around and went back in. Of course all the rest on the rack were expired, so the gentleman grabbed a economy pack of 6 and cut one out with scissors. After my exchange, I left and I opened the “new” battery in my car to realize it was rusty and corroded. So I went back in and told the gentleman, while I pretended to look around, he gave it back to me with the rust/crust rubbed off. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, went all the way home and guess what battery is completely dead?...
