My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Gelato-Go many times over the past couple of years. From the second you walk in it feels like you are in Italy. Matteo and his wife Oxana have created such a friendly welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel very pleasant every time you go. Although my wife and I arenโt huge gelato eaters, the flavors at Gelato-Go have completely changed our tune as the flavors and variety are amazing! Although we love their gelato, this review would not be complete without mentioning how good the food and the desserts areโฆ From the day we tried the meatball sandwich called the Torino or their sandwich called the Nordico with prosciutto we continue to crave both constantly. Both are absolutely delicious and freshly made daily just as you would find in Italy. And then you try the freshly made cannoliโs or pistachio cheesecake and become hooked! This place has been a go to for us for the last couple of years and although we are sad that we are moving and wonโt be able to enjoy gelato-go anymore, it has been amazing being able to have it nearby and I recommend everyone to go and try the food,...
ย ย ย Read moreStopped in one afternoon for gelato and they are the most friendly people you can meet. They let us try as many flavors as we wanted and we were not rushed. We were able to get a two flavors even in a small and believe me the small is more like a medium size that you get at other ice-cream places. And their gelato beats any ice-cream around. Their prices are amazing, especially for the amount they give you. And they have the most awesome looking deserts.
Two days later we went back and had lunch. We both had a ham and cheese croissant and again, it could not be beat. And of course we had to have gelato again. The strawberry cheesecake was my favorite, although it would be hard to really pick a favorite. And we actually went in today for a third gelato visit, I am saying, once you go in, you will get hooked and have to continuously go back. I took home a piece of cheesecake and the slice was enough for 4 servings.
This place is my gelato-go and even though I live in Cape Coral, I will gladly pick this over any ice-cream or gelato...
ย ย ย Read moreI live in Naples but happen to be in fort Myers yesterday and a friend took me to this gelato spot. It was on Father's Day and I was missing my dad who's from Italy originally. It just was a perfect spot to go. The owner, did not get his name, but he is super friendly greets everybody when they come in & says goodbye to everybody as they leave. The gelato was fantastic! I had the gentleman slice me some fresh mortadella and prosciutto to go. He sliced it perfectly thin. Bought a loaf of his ciabatta bread. I just was able to eat everything today that I brought home from there and it's so good. Even though the bride is from yesterday it was super soft and fresh and taste like he made it homemade. Not sure if he does. I wish they were closer to Naples. The next time I'm in that area, I will certainly be making time to stop there again. Cute little place, very intimate inside, prices are reasonable and the food quality is top notch. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend making this one of your stops for the day. It's close to the fort...
