Computer Avenue — Local services in Carlsbad

The lady that works at Computer Avenue in Carlsbad, NM was incredibly rude, she should not interface with potential clients unless it’s her job to drive them away.

I use my computer to make a living so I asked to bring it in when the shell arrived and how long it would take to replace the shell.

She said I couldn’t do that because they jump between projects and she flat out refused to give me any sort of a time-frame for the same reason.

I don’t understand why my computer needs to sit there if the part isn’t there to repair it.

She then said that I could pay a $150 emergency fee but wouldn’t say what the time-frame would be if this fee was paid and that she wasn’t going to explain their work flow to me.

I don’t understand why she refused to give an estimated time-frame without explaining their work flow or why anyone would pay an emergency fee when they still have no time-frame and no idea of the time difference with the fee.

I then asked if she knew of any other computer repair stores in town and she refused to answer this question as well.

She had a nasty tone, continually spoke over me and was condescending throughout the entire interaction.

I will never consider using or recommending Computer Avenue again as long as she works there.

It’s unfortunate that I can’t give negative stars for this horrific...

So Im guilty of ruining the battery that connects to the mainframe, went to go see if they could fix it, nice people, however, they were unable to fix it, I allowed them to do whatever they needed to, to fix it, if it meant letting them open the computer then so be it. They didn’t, and made me think there was no way in fix it. I went home about 5 minutes later, told my mother about it, she opened the back of it, and connected the wires back into the mainframe and it’s charging fully again.. I counted on them to see if it could be fixed, it was over $400 to buy the computer, to take no less than 5 minutes to open the back of the computer, connect the wiring back in the mainframe and good as new.. but they didn’t and waisted so much time to get there, and then be told I’d have to call the company to get it fixed.. I see all these good reviews.. but where was the good? This place definitely disappointed me today.. but places deserve second chancesso.. I’ll give them credit for trying, but they didn’t...

We've been having issues with our computer for some time. Damon took time to assist the issues and his wife always made sure to keep us posted on the progress while they had our computer. They always go above and beyond to exceed customer service. Highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a computer place you can trust. Will continue to use them for our computer trouble. Thank you guys...
