I have visited this store several times and have always enjoyed browsing their selection. While it can be uncomfortable to feel watched as you shop, I simply continue with my visit and ask for assistance if needed. The store offers excellent products and is kept very clean. On one occasion, I mentioned that the entrance had an unpleasant odor like body odor it hits you in the face when you open the door the next time, I did come in the smell was not there.

Today, I called the store to schedule a Hydrotherapy appointment. I spoke with a gentleman who informed me that Amy's available slots for these appointments are at 1:00-2:00 PM or 2:30 PM. I explained that these times wouldn't work for me and asked if there were any other options. He mentioned that Amy might be flexible with her schedule. I then checked my calendar to see if I could accommodate one of the regular times, as he also mentioned there were available slots in August.

He then asked what time would work for me, and I replied with 5 PM. He immediately responded, "Blah, I don’t think Amy will do that," cutting me off before I could finish. I was about to suggest 5 PM this week or 12:30 PM next Monday if that was possible, but I never got the chance. So, I said, "Um, okay, never mind." He responded, "No, Jessica, what is it? Well, what is it?" I told him I would find another place for the treatment. He said something I couldn't hear, and I ended the call by telling him his response was rude before hanging up.

I already feel uncomfortable discussing this appointment with a man, and his rudeness made it even worse. Hydrotherapy involves being partially exposed, with only a blanket covering you, so it's crucial for me to feel comfortable with the staff and the environment. This comfort is essential for a positive experience.

Update: The owner did reach out to me and offered a complimentary session, but I turned it down due to the environment of the issue. I need to feel comfortable being there. I have no issue with this business other than the...

TLDR: I would recommend this as anyone's first go-to if they are having an issue which they know what it is and need to heal naturally! My story: Came in for a urinary tract infection. Definitely wanted to avoid any kind of medical place that would put me on antibiotics because those tend to cause me even yet another infection. The first time I was in, I said "OK Well I have those kind of supplements at home" and went home to go use them. Came back a week later without much positive result, and said "Give me whatever you got!" We walked out with $135 worth of QUALITY supplements, and I went home and started taking them. The staff member even wrote down for me exactly how many to take and when. I almost immediately started feeling a result. The first "dose" perked me up quite a bit, and in these last few days I have been getting a whole lot better. I really appreciated being able to have a place I could go. Sure, I joked about the price, but the last time I went to the Urgent Care for this exact same thing, I was sent a bill for $3,000!!! And all they had sent me home with was one antibiotic pill!!! Which just immediately created a new infection right after! And my cheaper supplements weren't doing much at all, if anything. Even on the over the counter stuff I had gotten at Walgreens, and the 'healing foods' I was using, who knows how much money I had spent on those, easily into the hundreds. So, yeah. Totally worth it!!! I have now enough supplements to heal, and to maintain for a month at least, and I'm stoked and oh so grateful! Thank you thank you thank you! Once again: I would recommend this as anyone's first go-to if they are having an issue which they know what it is and need to heal naturally! On anything else you just may be wasting...

Freida and her staff have anyways helped me figure out a plan for several different needs for myself and my family. You never feel pressured to buy anything, but you always feel like you made the right purchase when you walk out. They have a large selection of organic & gluten free foods...the first in carlsbad that I know of.

Freida recently advised me on some issues I’m having with weight loss. She (and if not her, her daughter and her staff care the same) listened to me intently. She recognized some outter symptoms I’m having and asked me questions. I had some things in my hand basket that she said you don’t need that...come look at this. She spent time with me, listening to my concerns and fully explaining to me the products I was buying. The sale for her is not the goal, you can tell after all these years they are still super concerned with helping peoples body function better, feel better, and maintain a healthy lifestyle using the items you purchase & what you do after you walk out the door as a tool. I’m so very grateful for our health food store.
