After the Mount Vernon, IN store closed, I decided that since I visit Carmi, IL on a weekly basis and have had several issues with the Evansville, IN Rent One store, I would make my new purchase with the Carmi Rent One as my electric fireplace went out and it's been below freezing. Made the purchase, email verification said it went to Carmi. Didn't hear from Carmi after 3 business days, so I called - turns out, the system sent us to Evansville for whatever reason, despite me specifically choosing Carmi. They said we could get transferred from the Evansville store to the Carmi store, and they would be able to take care of us then. Same day, the lady from the Evansville store that we've had problem with in the past called and asked if we were trying to change stores. I let her know that we were as Carmi is closer and I wasn't going to be a customer of Evansville again after the way my family was treated a few years ago after a purchase that they got wrong and refused to fix. She said okay and would get it transferred and hung up on me. After a couple more days, I hadn't heard anything, so I called Carmi again as I was sick of freezing. Levi was very helpful in communicating me that he was still waiting on Evansville to complete the transfer, and once he got the transfer, he would get our order to us, but he had to wait as the transfer had to be made by the original store. Another day goes by and we hear nothing, so today I made a male family member call over to the Evansville store and speak with a manager and tell them if they didn't complete the transfer today, we would be reaching out to corporate to let them know of the issues the Evansville store has caused in the last week and a half. Less than an hour later, I get a call from Levi at the Carmi store - he's finally received our account from the Evansville store and is working on fixing the contracts from IN to IL and will send everything on over shortly. Another couple hours goes by, and Levi calls again to let me know they have gotten my purchase from Evansville and are ready to deliver it. Since I can't leave work today, I asked to reschedule for tomorrow, and Levi got me right on the books for a time that worked for me. And guess what? Levi just became store manager yesterday. Let me tell you - if this man continues to run this store as smoothly as he has the last few hours, I will continue to use this store. I have the messages confirming my bill was due the 2nd of Oct. They showed up after saying I owed over $200 while calling every week claiming my bill was due weekly even though it was every month not week. Now the other offices won't service me unless I return to this location. They listed it as a repossession after being 10 days late on my first payment due to conflicting views of the bill owed.The set I order was to be $24.99/ week well my math puts that at $100 a month. I have all the proof of every. Everything was discussed via text messsage.They already make you pay 5x what the item is retail at your local stores, then add care plan costs and other costs almost doubling your bill each month. Showed up to repo saying I had owed and was behind 5 weeks even with me proving I wasn't to pay every week and showing them the messages. Read moreI’ve been using the Carmi location for over 3 years. First with Christina & Coke, now with Gus & Caleb. All 4 have been extremely nice, helpful & understanding. Recently had a sectional delivered by Titan & Jarred. They were awesome. They arrived as scheduled, took their time setting it up correctly & were extremely polite. Every interaction I’ve had with the Carmi store has been great. The only time I’ve had a bad experience is when I got a call from another store, in which that person was rude as can be, however once I talked to the associates at Carmi they apologized & made it right. 5stars for...
