Apparently their marketing plan is to take people's photos without their permission and post them as a "pleasant surprise" so that people would know they are "recognizing the cuteness." They assume because they sell "500,000 shirts in a year, people generally get excited when they feature them" that they don't need to get permission before taking other people's photos. When a mother was notified that the photo she had posted of her daughter on her personal account and had not tagged Southern Grace in had been taken and posted by SG, she messaged them and asked them to remove it. Their snarky defense of stealing the photo included calling her Karen for wanting her daughters picture removed from their post.
