Didn’t get the employees name that spoke to us, but he was so unbelievably rude. My mother and I had stopped by to look for office chairs to furnish her new primary care clinic, and we had asked simply if our dog would be allowed on the premise - as we didn’t see any signage posted out front. In no way did we come entitled to our dog being allowed in; hence, my mother and I entered the property by ourselves first to inquire. Let me be clear, we have absolutely no problem with the fact that our dog was not allowed inside. We respect store policy and, I repeat, is the reason why we went inside to ask first. Instead of a simple, “No ma’am we do not allow dogs inside” or quite literally any words along those lines - the person we were speaking to decided to raise their voice, speak to us in a demeaning and belittling tone, and give us an incredibly long winded story as to why dogs are not allowed. He informed us that people had walked in before with their dogs, without asking, and had an incident where a dog pooped on the floor. He also kept repeating that the customers that come after would potentially be allergic to dogs (which AGAIN is all understandable. store policy exists - we didn’t come to debate it). Not to mention, he kept cocking his head, making a face at us and repeating “do you get it, does that make sense, do you understand” as if we were incapable of understanding simple English (actually what??) Truly no issues with the place, the furniture or anything related to the business. But the employee? I wish I had gotten his name because I don’t think his actions should poorly reflect on this business. I don’t know if he was an animal hater, a POC hater, or what - but I truly have not interacted with anyone who right off the bat thought it was okay to borderline yell at a customer? His reaction, tone, everything was so surprising and hateful out of nowhere that you’d think we’d just walked in with the dog and let him rip the furniture to shreds. I just find it shocking that he felt comfortable talking to two women like that, and am genuinely so confused where his anger, audacity, and attitude was coming from. Mind you, we had literally just walked in and within 2 minutes of conversation (informing him why we were there and asking the million dollar inciting question) he was so hostile out of nowhere. The rest of the visit was so uncomfortable that I went outside to wait with our dog and sent my father inside to see the chairs with my mother because I was genuinely that concerned....

I was looking for a quality office chair because the ones I found at the usual furniture stores looked nice but were still fair expensive for the quality. I did a Google search to find used office furniture stores. The first one was a national store. They didn't provide much information on the various chairs. Plus they were stacked very high in a very large warehouse. I knew there had to be another option close by so did another search and found Used Office Furniture Connection. We stopped in and were promptly greated by Stephen. We explained what we were looking for and he asked if we had a budget we were trying to stay within. After providing the information he gave us a few options to consider. Stephen provided lots of pros and cons of each and allowed us to sit in the chairs as much as we needed. He checked in periodically as he saw us nearing a choice and provided more details about each of the 2 chairs we had narrowed our choices down to. We never felt pressure to make a choice quickly and Stephen always provided valuable information and feature of each of the chairs. Was in the market for a GOOD office chair given the amazon/wayfair ones were just not holding up. Reddit told me to find a used Steelcase or Herman Miller from local used office supply stores which is what led me here. Stephen greeted me and asked what I was looking for and walked me around to some suggestions based on my criteria. He was very thorough and knew an insane amount about the hundreds of office chairs the store had. When I selected my Steelcase chair he did a full check of all features to make sure it was in solid working condition. There were some stains on the seat of the one I selected but he grabbed some upholstery cleaner to see if it could come out. I cleaned up the chair even more when I got home and as you can see it looks brand new! Highly recommend this place for any office needs but...
