Iâve lived in Cary for almost 8 years now, originally coming from Brooklyn, New Yorkâand let me be clear: my standards for pizza are high. Every time I move to a new place, the first thing I search for is a solid pizza spot. And in this part of West Cary, Iâve tried all the so-called âNew York-styleâ pizza joints. Most of them talk the talk, but donât deliver.
Lazza is different. This place actually gets it right.
The crust? On point. The sauce? Seasoned and balanced. The overall execution? Chefâs kiss.
Not only is the pizza legit, but the service is phenomenalâfriendly, fast, and consistent. The menu is thoughtfully put together, with prices that donât make you feel like youâre getting hustled just to enjoy a slice.
Thereâs another pizza spot just down the road that I used to go toâdecent food, but the service was always trash. Lazza, on the other hand, gives you both great food and excellent customer service.
Itâs only been open a few weeks and Iâve already been there eight times (no exaggeration). Lazza has officially become my go-to pizza spot, and as long as Iâm living in this area, Iâm not going...
Read moreListen up folks. When it comes to fast Italian fare, there is a new Sherriff in town and his name is Chef Carlo Nicolazza. About the food in a minute, but a couple of other things first.
Walking into this new establishment, I was delighted by how clean, fresh and new it was. Then I was greeted by a very friendly lady. Since I am a junkie for good Italian food, I gave her the third degree on what was made in house and the list was long! Sauce, dough, bread crumbs, hand cut veal, meatballs. After this discussion, I was eager to try out the food, and I was not disappointed.
The pizza was legit NY with a firm but foldable crust. Toppings were excellent and properly portioned. The veal parm sub was fantastic. The veal was tender with just enough breading to give it flavor and hold it together without overpowering the meat. The sub roll was soft, but not soggy and was perfectly toasted when the cheese was melted.
Bottom line, this is now my go-to spot for pizza and the...
Read moreI just saved this place to my favorites. I know exactly where it is but it was a necessity. The New Haven style crust is so perfectly thin, but it might need to be cooked just a little extra in the center. It has a big flop. The crust is amazing. The cheese is amazing. I had meatballs on my half and they had more flavor than anywhere else. I would actually recommend this over Johnny's Pizza and Randy's Pizza. I actually have no need to go to either of those two locations now. I didn't take pictures because there's nothing left. If you love Ranch on your pizza, get theirs. Even my man, who's from Jersey, dipped his pizza. In the ranch. And he's never done that. He thought it was amazing. Technically, Lazza got a lot of free advertising from us. We walked the pizza to Lowe's and had a beer. All the customers in the Beer Den asked where it came from. We told them we highly...
