We are from out of town and picked this hibachi restaurant because of the good reviews on Google. After one visit, I have very mixed feelings. I doubt I would go back. First, this restaurant is not vegetarian/vegan friendly. Only one dish on the menu was vegetarian however there is not a protein option for that dish (I.e. tofu or tempeh). I got the edamame to get some protein but it wasnât that greatâŠ. How do you mess up edamame? Second, everything is to-go packaged in plastic. They do not offer cups with ice for drinks which were also only offered in cans or plastic bottles. The sauces (shrimp sauce, ginger sauce, etc.) were pre-packaged and really skimpyâŠ. when my husband asked for a second shrimp sauce they wanted the ginger sauce package back to give him another shrimp sauce. Very odd. My last criticism is about notes on the tables that said you canât eat inside after 8:30 because they have already cleaned and donât want to clean up our mess again. NowâŠ. All of this said, the food was fresh and was good. Just donât plan to eat inside the restaurant. I think they should be to-go only and not...
Read moreAs we stepped through the doors of the hibachi restaurant, we were transported to a world of culinary delight. The combination platter, with its savory hibachi steak, juicy chicken, and succulent shrimp, was a veritable feast for the senses. And the fried dumplings, with their crispy exterior and soft, doughy interior, were the perfect appetizer to kick off our meal.
But the true standout of the evening was the salad with ginger dressing. Fresh and crisp, it was the perfect balance to the bold flavors of the hibachi entrees.
As we settled in to enjoy our takeout feast, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the culinary delights that lay before us. It was as if we had stumbled upon a hidden gem in the far reaches of the galaxy, a place where flavors and textures coalesced to create a dining experience unlike any other.
In the end, our trip to the hibachi restaurant was a journey that left us satisfied and rejuvenated. It was a culinary experience that I would gladly undertake again and again, and one that I would recommend to any discerning foodie. Five stars,...
Read moreI tried out Hibachi88 this past weekend for date night after receiving a mailerâturns out, it replaced the old Chinese #1 spot.
The Good: â Friendly staff â Welcoming and attentive. â Totally remodeled interior â A nice, fresh update. â Solid portion sizes â No complaints here. â Fair pricing â Especially with the mailer deal (buy one entrĂ©e at full price, get the second 50% off). â Decent food quality â Good, but missing that extra flavor or pizzazz to really stand out.
The Not-So-Good: â No free water option â Only bottled water for sale. â Skimpy on veggies â My rice and chicken came with exactly four broccoli florets. Four. Come on now. â To-go style dining â Even though they have tables and booths, all orders come in takeout containers, making it feel like they expect most people to just grab and go.
Overall, Hibachi88 is okâdecent food, reasonable prices, and a nice space. But a few small changes (like offering tap water and adding more veggies) could make it even better. Would I go back? Maybeâespecially if another coupon shows up in...
