We came to the workshop for the Izakaya cooking night. Izakaya is my favorite Japanese style bar food and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with warm welcome when first arrived. Loved the open concept and clean kitchen style set up. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. All cooking materials were provided, and you can byob of your own favorite drinks, wine, whisky, sparkling… they do have water here, also can provide ice bucket to chill your drinks. The cooking process was gradual, step by step and fun. Very interactive and the end results were delicious. They have a large variety of classes for customers of all ages and needs. Price is reasonable. Convenient location with no issues to find parking. We loved this educational yet entertaining experience very much. Highly recommend for any occasions. My partner and I recently took the Louisiana/Cajun cooking class, and it was a fantastic experience. We learned how to make gumbo, hushpuppies, and shrimp po’ boys. Our instructor, Chef Pat, was amazing. With 22 years of industry experience and a background in some of Baltimore’s top restaurants, he was engaging and talkative, sharing valuable insights and stories. The class was intimate, with only about eight participants, making it feel very personal. It was highly interactive, with everyone getting hands-on experience dicing vegetables and practicing knife skills. Five of us even got to participate directly in the cooking process. Overall, it was a fun and educational class that we highly recommend.

Looking for a cooking class that offers a variety? Try this local gem in Catonsville. I learned Culinary Craft Workshop through a friend. I was pleased to see they have parent & child classes, family day, adult classes, BYOB, and a wide variety of cuisines. My son and I did the parent & child dumpling class on Saturday morning. The instructor was personable and broke down the steps how to make dough, mix filling, and wrap the dumplings. It’s a great way to spend quality time and learn something new together. Friday and Saturday evenings are adults only which would make a great date night, plus it’s BYOB so bring your favorite wine or spirits to enjoy. We definitely will be back to try another class!

Ok, I should start by saying I do not enjoy cooking things. I am one of those people that has never felt like the juice is worth the squeeze with the efforts involved. My wife, who is very into cooking + baking found this place when we were searching for date ideas and we checked their calendar. Many classes, but most of them booked up! I figured the popularity must be a good sign, so we decided to just pick one for ~1 month out and wait for the event to come around. We signed up for the Ramen class. Having done "workshop" dates with my wife before at other businesses, we have found ourselves in a couple WAY over-packed experiences that didn't give us much guidance and I was a little concerned we would be bumping elbows with a ton of strangers, just trying to "get through" the workshop. I would participate in order to do something fun that my wife was interested in. My fears were totally erased when we got there and I saw the fully booked class was just about a dozen people in a pretty spacious, very well equipped area. This place is run like CLOCKWORK. From the prep to pre-cooking some of the longer-to-cook ingredients, it made a task that I normally dread a totally accessible, pleasant and educational experience. Coupled with the fact that both Chefs involved were very engaging, funny, and educational, I was immediately turning to my wife and suggesting we sign up for more and more of these! We couldn't stop talking about how awesome a time we had on our drive home, and luckily we only live 10 minutes away. We will be back many times. Just during our class Chef Nate was telling us about a couple of the other classes they offered and every one of them seemed like something interesting and sparked curiosity. Again, this is coming from someone that does NOT enjoy cooking. I think this place may change that. Hard to believe this place has been around only since 2019, given how polished the entire experience was. Six Stars,...

I attended a class here for the first time on 6/21 and it was awesome! Chef Pat did a fantastic job blending his wealth of knowledge on culinary arts with his very engaging personality. I was in awe. I learned so much and was genuinely enjoying myself doing so.

The business overall has a great and thoughtful model as well. The class wasn't huge, it was a good mix of demonstration and participation, and the process flowed so smoothly between steps. Any questions I might have had were already being answered before I could even scrunch my brow in confusion. The meal at the end was awesome, which might sound like "wow someone is full of herself," but see previous statements about the mix of demo and participation - the balance ensured everyone got a really nice meal across the board, not the luck of the draw of which beginner chef had touched something.

For anyone who, like me, is filled with anxiety about tipping and sales, both of these aspects were totally fine. The mention of other class offerings happened really organically in context of the class, not like a pitch, and the option to tip was zero pressure, although you should bring cash because you'll totally want to. Also if you are not from the area and stress about parking, it's in a business center with a huge, free lot.

I came with a gal pal and BYOBed and it was all around a great night. I could see it being a good date night too, and it seemed totally comfortable to experience solo, which was something that had kept me from going sooner but I now see would be a nonissue. I...

If you're looking for an experience that perfectly blends hands-on cooking, expert guidance, and an unforgettable evening of flavors, Culinary Craft Workshop delivers in spades. We attended their American Steak Night, and from the first moment, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the stage for an evening that was both educational and entertaining. The chefs were not just experts in their craft—they were phenomenal instructors. Their knowledge was immense. They explained cooking techniques in a way that was approachable and engaging, ensuring that even the most amateur home cook could walk away feeling like a steakhouse pro. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their humor kept the evening lighthearted and fun. No matter the question or request, they were accommodating and eager to share their wisdom. And then—oh, the food! Every bite was a testament to the quality ingredients and expert techniques taught throughout the class. From achieving the perfect crust on a ribeye to mastering butter basting, every skill learned culminated in a feast that was both indulgent and rewarding. Along the way, we picked up incredible food facts that added even more appreciation to the dining experience. We left with full stomachs, new skills, and a newfound confidence in our ability to craft restaurant-worthy steaks at home. We will 100%...
