Taneytown Deli & Sandwich Shoppe — Restaurant in Catonsville

I’ve been coming to Taneytown Deli since high school—almost 10 years now—and I love that nothing has changed (in the best way possible!). This place is a nostalgic staple, and I appreciate how they’ve stayed true to what makes them great.

With over 100 sandwiches, high-quality ingredients, and a huge selection of drinks, chips, and sides, there’s something for everyone. My go-to is The Texas Ranger (#81) on white bread, and it never disappoints! The staff is wonderful—friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Ordering is smooth, and I have never had a wait time more than three minutes—seriously, it’s amazing.

I normally wouldn't do this but I have to say I have been dealing with this spot a very long time and on a norm it's fairly gooItsthis one time I ordered a steak sub with American cheese and fried onions with a well done toasted roll.Well I'll tell you the roll wasn't toasted or if it was it's even worst then it should of been. When I opened the perfectly wrapped on🫔sub it was so greasy the roll was mushy. I took pictures of it for proof as I didn't know what I was gonna do.after about an hour or so I thought I would call and of coarse you have bring the food back if you want a remake. Well I really don't desired to go back . They can keep the money. They just lost my business .moral watch when you order the steak and cheese with fried onions if you don't like greasy soggy mushy rolls let them know...

OMG I brought my sister out here (Catonsville) about two weeks ago for a interview…while waiting, I went to this deli across the street for something to eat! I walked in and ordered a tuna salad sandwich (trying to make better decisions eating out) and I got a black bottom cupcake 😩 HONEY…that tuna was so fresh and seasoned to perfection!

The service was superb and that black bottom cake 💯💯💯💯

Well my sister got the job and I had the opportunity to visit again! This time I called ahead and ordered the Turkey Glenn 😋😋😋😋 if I can give 10 stars I would!

The sandwich, like the tuna was packed with meat and prepared with love!! Two black bottoms this time!

I definitely recommend if you’re in the area and need a quick, fulfilling and affordable bite!!
