I do love Southwest appliances. I love our appliances we have bought from them and have bought replacement appliances through them. Their front staff is courteous, kind and helpful.
I have one issue, that does not deter me away from SW appliance but their repair guy/contractor. I had a light go out on my fridge. I did the research. I found my manual. I went and found the part number. I could have easily bought the part on Amazon. I like to support local business so I gave SW a call and they referred me to their repair guy. I gave him all the info, model number, serial number and even the part number that I needed since I had already figured it out. I JUST NEEDED THE PART. He insisted on coming by to check the fridge. Well, scheduled an appointment for what I thought was just to bring me the part. They came in, with part already, I showed them the light, and we swapped it out and said our goodbyes. They weren’t even in my home for 2 minutes and I get billed a $35 service charge. I just needed the part. Sure, I’d pay ya $10 for the inconvenience of your time, but all I wanted was the part. Next time, I’ll just buy the part online and do it myself and save me $35. It wasn’t worth the wait or time. I would have even came and picked up the part myself and they could have saved the gas.
Again, I do love SW appliances and I urge anyone in the Cedar City area to purchase their needs from SW appliance BUT, when it comes to a part or piece needing replacement, get the manual, find the part number, and order it yourself. Most amazon purchases have free returns, if it didn’t fix it, return it. If you have continued issues then the repair guy may be what you need? But in my case it wasn’t and was a...
Read moreStellar. Absolutely stellar products, service and support. I was fortunate enough to have a very wise contractor, Son Builders, use Southwest Appliance for the installation of my dishwasher and range. My good fortune continued when my real estate agent, Brad Lewis of Stratum Realty, respected my very vocal opposition to using any type of Big Box store Like Home Depot and suggested that I might look into Southwest Appliance for my washer, dryer and refrigerator purchase and installation. The Southwest Appliance office manager, Holly, was very professional, knowegable and efficient in showing me what my options were to complete my kitchen appliances. I'm a firm and staunch supporter of Speed Queen based upon consumer test and reviews. Fortunately, Southwest Appliance carries Speed Queen laundry appliances. Holly graciously guided me between the different options and performance of the different Speed Queen laundry sets and I made what I believe to be is a very wise choice based upon her skilled recommendations. The purchase point was reasonable for the high quality and value that I was receiving on my investment. The kicker? The delivery and installation went off without a hitch. The installation technicians gave me the proper instruction on how to operate and maintain my brand new appliances. I believe that Not only was the price point competitive with any other businesses out there, especially Home Depot or Lowe's, it's the follow up service from Southwest Appliance that makes them the right choice for any Appliance Investments that you make. Holly, Cameron and Tyler made this process fast , efficient and cost-effective for me and I'm very grateful. They deserve a 10...
Read moreHolly @ southwest was awful towards me. We purchased a new build spec home in August with a GE fridge, and since day 1 we have had nothing but problems. Finally in October I called to get someone from southwest to come out cause it wasn’t getting better. We’ve had their repairman come and he was nice and helped us the best he could but even he was stumped on the problem. They decided to reorder a ice maker for us but it’s backordered till Feb and it’s just never operated properly. We’ve had our ice maker turned off for months, and the freezer is still freezing up. I called asking what my options were (if I could return this, upgrade somehow, etc) and she started getting mad at me because our builder hadn’t paid for our appliances yet and we were lucky someone even came out and looked at it, when I bought this home in August & it was a spec home, I didn’t purchase from our builder. It was really unprofessional the way she handled this and was so beyond rude to me, I was in tears when I hung up because of how she treated me. I simply just wanted to know what options we had and she flat out told me it wasn’t their job and I needed to call GE to get a new fridge. I had so many friends and all my family in Beaver had recommend this place for when we needed appliances, I was really expecting their customer service to be top notch from what I’ve heard but after this phone call I’ll just keep my business & recommend Home Depot, and tell everyone to stay far...
