By The Board Games & Entertainment — Local services in Cedar Creek Township

My daily routine and l8festyle is visiting, playing, and shopping at every single tcg gamestore in NWI and Chicago. I appreciate all other stores for varying reasons but I have found BTB to be my favorite tcg store around. The owners and the resident players are down to earth, friendly, and provide and overall positive and friendly environment for all ages.

I have 0 business affiliations with btb but I love the environment and the people here, I have no problem driving 45 minutes away from munster just to play Magic the Gathering at By the Board, even though there are soooo many other great choices, this is worth the haul for me.

I love the atmosphere of downtown lowell, its a safe friendly, and fun environment to bring children to learn and play trading card games. I would classify it as a players store predominantly but still provides tcg collectors with what they want.

I find their prices to be just and fair. Basically equal or below other competitors prices on product.

I see alot of spam reviews and vendictive reviews from people with hatred and personal bias in their ill attempts to cyberbully but dont take their words or even mine for everything. Check out the store and atmosphere and you will become a fan of the store just like me!

I can't even think of a better place to play Magic the Gathering! There's nowhere even remotely close to the coolness of By The Board. I think everybody who comes in the door will have the time of their life! New players along with seasoned pros will find this to be a fun place to play magic.

Be warned, you will have fun and you will come back!

I must also mention that 9/15/18 was a special day for me. A day that the magic player's of Lowell need not forget.

I squared off mono-E-mono with the deadliest magic player in Lowell, Dean. This duel was for the title of Store Champion. I was an underdog in the race but the little engine that could chugged as hard as he could with his curious, favorable winds, flying pirates.

This is a day I will celebrate for years to come. I know that my adversaries will not forget the power of curious pirates and the mighty Dean has been humbled. May he never forget the harsh sting of Settle of the Wreckage from "Papa" Bob.

All joking aside, it was a great tournament, so many outstanding and creative players that really make Magic fun, interesting, and compelling. I wouldn't be playing MTG if it wasn't for By the Board teaching me how to play.

So I will probably say that this is one of the finest gaming locations that I've seen in the area. They not only have an absolute vast array of games for purchase, they also have accessories and plenty of things to be able to pick up to make your table top gaming experience the best. Besides that they have a huge open floor, where they constantly run weekly tournaments for the major series that we all love and enjoy. There's also a dragon room where I personally play Pathfinder or Starfinder. They have it all here. My advice, even if you're just curious go check the place out. If you're a gamer, you're gonna walk home with something. It's just a wicked cool...
