And this could not be more true of this studio and their highly talented team of professionals. Three years ago I wasn't sure if I had a soul...or a life. Then by chance I stumbled in here...and found out something I didn't know I could get...or have. Physical health, mental health, confidence, joy. The staff is top notch. They work with you and will take you as far as you wish on your own personal journey. Wedding dances, exercise, or competition...however far you want to go. And the experiences are beyond measure. I am proud to say I have been with them for almost two years and would not trade a minute of it. And most importantly? No one is a client...everyone is family here. There is no one in the the studio that is a "stranger"...just a friend you haven't "met" yet.

The owners, Tim and Kaitlin, are top notch and check in on everyone and their development. The manager, Pasha, keeps everything wired tight at all times. The instructors, Anastasiya, Esther, Ioanna, and Tema are some of the most talented and patient people I have ever met.

Don't ask for clarifications...don't ask questions...just go...it will change your life...

My fiancé and I started taking lessons with Tim, Kaitlin and the rest of their crew in February to prepare for our June wedding. They welcomed us with arms wide open and we haven’t looked back! In just two short months, we feel (and supposedly look) so much more comfortable on the floor. Our knowledge of ballroom dance has expanded and we’re already adding steps that I never could have imagined we would be able to do! We recently switched to taking our lessons on their virtual platform, and although it took the first lesson to get used to, it’s definitely still a great time! Kaitlin and Tim are still showing us new moves and are able to correct our positions. We look forward to our weekly dance lessons, and can’t wait to get back into the studio space! Definitely recommend Fred Astaire Dance Studios Upper Montclair and would encourage anyone to try their virtual lessons...

I started coming here with my fiancé to learn our wedding dance song starting in Aug. Since then we have had so much fun and love coming to practice. We enjoy the monthly events and have been attending most of them and want to continue to attend them even after our wedding in March 2022. We have already performed our wedding dance at the Snow ball and had such a great time meeting others and watching other performances. My fiancé and I love coming and want to continue to attend classes and dances. Everyone of the instructors are absolutely amazing. I love their warm personality. I originally don’t like dancing but since Fred Astaire I’m enjoying it so much! I definitely think if it wasn’t for the instructors and owner I wouldn’t have enjoy it as much as I do. If your thinking about taking dance classes do it and especially do it with this location because everyone here...
