Where do I even begin?

I've always wanted to have a custom pendant, something outside the norm of my own design (somewhat), done with 24k gold. Had the hardest time finding a jeweler in the NJ/NY area capable of doing the work, it being outside their usual area of expertise; rings, lockets, etc., with gold purities ranging from 10k - 18k, as is standard in the U.S. for jewelry-making. Then I randomly stumbled across Yanina's one day near closing time on the way home, was greeted by Branden at the front desk, and everything went from there.

From the get-go the team made it clear to me that this project would also be outside their usual custom requests, but they were willing to try their hand in it anyway, having had 40+ years of experience in the field.

Branden was later able to help me pick out a ruby from their extensive list of suppliers, and then get it GIA certified afterwards. That's not even mentioning the tiny melee diamonds he helped me pick out in-store that I couldn't find anywhere else.

After some trial and error due to the malleability of the 24k gold I handed over, we finally managed to get the final shape of the piece hammered out. When it came to etching the designs I submitted onto the pendant itself, I told the team that there was plenty of room for mistakes, expecting maybe some slight misalignments here and there due to the difficulty of working with the metal.

I did -not- expect them to pull off the practically 1-to-1 match that they did in the end, down to the smallest details that were well under 1mm in length/width.

There was some slight issue in the end where we lost a tad more gold than we initially expected. Yanina's made up for it by outright compensating me in cash for the spot price of gold that day for the amount that was lost over the original limit.

Branden was consistently helpful in guiding me throughout the whole process, and I eventually met the rest of the team during my scattered visits. Alex, Shelli, and Gina were always a delight to bump into, and it was always a treat whenever Shay popped up out of the workshop in the back to share what he and his crew were working on.

What can I say but that I'm extremely happy with how everything tuned out in the end?

I was floored by the hospitality, the standard of service at this beautiful store. I’ve purchased a very simple but stunning necklace in the store well over 10 years ago. I’ve been wearing the necklace on a regular basis & it has broken quite a number of times & had it fixed (differed) at local jewelry stores. The breakage was not due to the quality of the workmanship but to my own fault as it’s extremely delicate and I should not have showered & slept in it. I get compliments on the necklace every single day I’ve worn it. I decided to make the trip to NJ from NY to see if they can fix it in a way it would no longer break. Not only did they fix it on the spot but they also refused payment for this service, which was not their fault whatsoever! Obviously they stand behind their products, no questions asked. I was truly amazed by their actions. The jewelry in the store is very unique & absolutely stunning.
