Heads up. Take pictures of every inch of your car before you take it there. We originally went with our own equipment and my husband was given a quote of 750 plus tax to get everything installed. When I took my husbands car in I had to stay for a while and was then told that what we had wasnât good enough and we had to buy another amp for the subwoofer we brought and we could install a base adjuster that we also had in our equipment but that one wouldnât work. So this brought the total to almost 1300. My husband was at work and they knew this and I couldnât really ask about anything. I just got frustrated and said make it all work at the end of the day. Finally we get the car and take it home but donât have much time to inspect everything until the next day (Saturday) we check out the back and it is covered in dirt from shoes. No one cleaned up after themselves and of course itâs winter so shoes are covered in sand and salt on our leather seats. The window heater in the back for the defrost was busted off and now our window defrost wont work. When we talked to the company finally Monday morning we get told sorry no luck and it was already that way. Absolutely the biggest lie. Watch out with these people they are the biggest crooks and will rip you off with no regard for your property.    Read moreI purchased a Viper Smart Start for my son's car and the staff was polite and helpful up until when I went to set the Viper app up on my phone, I was not able to due to some error. I first tried to contact viper, but apparently their customer service is horrible and could not get a hold of anyone. (check out their reviews) Then, I called AE to see if they could help and they said they only send my information in to Viper and that's it. Since Viper was non-responsive, I asked the gentleman that answered if there was any way they could help me out. He politely said no. I asked if they had any contact info at Viper and he said they would only have tech support for installation issues. The next day i called back to AE and got a different gentleman who had the same response. At this point, I feel like I just spent over $500 on a product that is of no use just due to a login error. I reached out to another viper dealer that I have worked with in the past just asking them if they had any ideas. (Auto Toyz in IC). The gentleman there was so helpful and I didn't even buy it from them! He had contacts at viper and worked with them to figure out what was going on. Turns out there was a step that Automotive Electronics did not do to finish setting the system up!! AE could have AT LEAST reached out to Viper to see what the issue was. Numerous friends sung their praises and my experience was fantastic too. They answered all our questions and installed our remote start quickly while retaining our factory warranty and giving lifetime warranty to their work. They even configured the remote start and looked into additional options we inquired about.
Just today (3 years later), we had a problem with one of our remotes needing to be reprogrammed... I called at 10:30 and they said to stop by at my convenience. I stopped by at 11 and by 11:05 they had already reprogrammed the remote... Super fast and courteous service... And they did it for...
