My main concern with this hotel has to do with housekeeping. On the day of my departure I folded the sofa bed with the coverlet inside of it because it was used as additional covering on the bed. I didn’t think nothing of it when I folded the mattress because housekeeping would change the sheets and find it there. Well, was I wrong! 1 week after checking out of the hotel, there was a charge on my bank statement for $75. I immediately call the hotel on 12/7/2014 @ 8:28 am. I questioned the clerk about the charges and she claimed that she didn’t know what it was for, but I should call back the next day after 3pm when the manager will be in the office. I explained to her that I was going to call my bank and place a hold on the charge. Only then did she offer to explain to me that she “overheard” them talking about it and someone tried to call me several times because the coverlet for the bed was missing. I explained to her that I never received a phone call nor did I steal the coverlet. She went on to tell me that there’s nothing that she could do and to call back tomorrow. I find it rather strange that the hotel was able to reach me to confirm my reservation by phone prior to me arrival, but all of a sudden my phone number is wrong. I called back to the hotel on Monday, December 8 around 3:40 pm and spoke with Penny about the charge. She explained that the coverlet was missing from the room. I told her that if her housekeepers were doing their job, they would’ve found it in the sofa bed. Maybe it’s wrong for me to assume that the sheets would be changed on the sofa bed after guests checked out. I just thought that was customary. She immediately sent someone up to the room to check for the coverlet and it was there. She apologized and agreed to do a refund. If this is their idea of being green, I don’t think I like it. So beware of the sheets on the sofa bed because I’m not sure if this was an isolated incident at this hotel or if it’s customary. Update: 2 days later I checked my bank statement for the refund and my account was debited for another $75 instead of being credited. Now that’s $150 that I have to dispute...
Read moreWhere do I start? First, the one luggage cart they have has 2 flat tires, one completely blown out. We were put in room 224, put my card in the door, opened it to find a family already in the room. Awkward!! Went down to tell the front desk lady and she acted like we were crazy. Said there isn't anyone assigned to that room, and there shouldn't be anyone in it. Moved us across the hall to room 225 that was supposed to be a King suite with kitchenette. It had a room with 2 queen beds, and additional room with another queen bed. Which we thought was great.... until we found bugs! Googled what bed bugs looked like and it was identical. Went back down to the receptionist, who by now was not happy to see us. Ended up on the 3rd floor, room 308. We would have moved hotels but with the baseball tournament in town, there weren't any other options that were close. We drove from Utah to spend time with family who was in town for baseball. Our room was clean, tore the bed apart to make sure there were no bugs. Only other problem we had with the room was our toilet was clogged. Not ONE person working there had any kind of identification that they worked there, no logos on clothing... nothing. The entire time we were there, nobody had on name tags, logos, nothing. The housekeeping people also had no uniforms. We chose to keep our do not disturb sign out after hearing a man in the hallway complain about things being taken from his room. Needless to say, we would never stay...
Read moreTHE ROOM WAS FILTHY. The first thing I saw when I walked in was that it looked like someone had dumped coffee in the sink and not rinsed it out. That was so blatantly obvious it made me look around, of course. I notice hairs in the shower (another tell-tale sign of a poor housekeeping job). It looked like the carpet had not been vacuumed. I noticed what appeared to be a stain on the coverlet at the foot of the bed. I touched it and realized it wasn't on the surface. I pulled it back and it was a HAIRBALL (human) UNDER the coverlet, but so big and black you could see it THROUGH the coverlet. When we pulled the blankets back, there were human hairs, lint, etc. If it hadn't been so late and if we hadn't been so tired, we wouldn't have stayed. I don't see asking for another room as an option because if that's what passes for a clean room, why should I have faith in any other rooms to be better? I always travel with Lysol wipes and gave the room a thorough wipe-down, but I would never stay there again. Housekeeping should have left a tip for ME because we left the room cleaner than we found it. Maybe our experience was not indicative of the level of service you usually provide, but I would never stay there again. Normally, when we have a good experience, I make sure to post positive reviews. The only positive part of this experience is that when I mentioned it to the desk clerk as we left, she was very apologetic, but the...
